Boot Fitting

In the past few years i have bean stuck with a pair of boot that might just be slightly larger than i should have and had to put up with pain on the outside of my right foot, Salomon x-waves flex rating 110. Their sopposidly an all mountain boot are pretty wicked in the park, although a little stiff for a freestyle ski. I had an Idea the other day though about a newly desiegned freestyle boot thinking slightly of aggressive inline and wondering if boot companies are jipping us. the idea was like any race of regular ski bing it does provide some lift for specific reason to raise you off the snow a bit. The idea was thoug to redeseign a boot so that it would have a slight toe lift and added arch supports as well as those cusshy heal pads for those hard landings. along with that the shell would be designed around a the foot bed and who knows we might just have a new looking type of ski boot for the future.

any Comments or other ideas

Love to Hear them

how does this relate to boot fitting? all you did was spout off ideas that either A) have been done or B) make no sense

- risers are for racers. all they do in freeskiing is throw off your centre of gravity. ever wonder why just about all freeride skis don't have bindings plates?

- gel heel pads have been used by salomon in the past and currently lange is using a rubber boot board inside all of their banshee boot line

- as for the designing a boot with a bigger toe box (i believe that's what i read) look at the spk. it's been done
