Boot fitting question

I have narrow feet, i wear a 27 dalbello rampage, and they fit great, however i have one small problem.

in the toe area occasionally i will get pain on the small bone that sticks out on the side of my smallest toe, i am guessing that the toe section of the boot doesnt hold my foot in well enough and it moves, i can tighten the toe clamp more but its then extremely hard to close, crushes the boot, and doesnt help anyway. can anyone offer advice ? also, when i looked under the tongue of my rampages, there are small cracks in the white plastic on both sides, is this normal ? or a sign or defective boots ? is dalbello likely to give a shit or am i out of luck ? thanks

get a custome footbed...... it will stop your foot from smashing into the front of teh boot..... or get it punched out a little...

Bone sticking out of the side of your toe? Thats not normal and boots arent designed around your oddly shaped feet. See a bootfitter and he could probably punch it out.

Sounds like teh infamous skier sixth toe to me.

Get some custom footbed if you do not have some and once that is done get the boots punched in order to make them a bit wider in that area if needed.

and boot fitting over the internet= nowhere enar as good as going to see a good boofitter in oyur area and get them to watch your feet and boots.

yea that bone there. I do have custom insoles, I have high arches and over-pronated ankles. I use the ALINE system. I'll look into what you said about the shell. thoughts on the cracks in the plastic anyone ?

i have the same issue with the bone spur, i had the boot shell ground out in that area to accommodate it, it made a worlds of a difference

oh and how old are the boots? i know some companies warrantee boots to 150 days of riding, so you may be in luck i'm not sure about how dalbello is though

I saw this happen a few weeks ago (cracks), I work in a ski shop in France. Sent a guys boot back with the same problem, dalbello replaced it with next years boot within 3 weeks, which is a cool green colour. Send em back, its a known warranty issue.

hmm... sounds like quite the issue. with some boots now they can melt down the shell/liner to mold to your feet aka custom fitting. i would definitely look into that or just find some new boots. its no fun to ski in pain
