Boot difference

does anyone know the difference between a 25 and a 26 spk boot? like not the actual numbers, just how much of a difference it feels like on your foot..?

thanks alot

No real difference. There really isn't any difference in sizes. They just put those stupid numbers on there so the evil people at salomon can sell more stuff.

Seriously? Those numbers are mondopoint, its just a different way to say size "x". Theres no difference otherwise, just like a size 10 nike is the same as a size 11 nike, just smaller.

^^^because i have a pro-form on them and i tried on a 25.5, but all the rep ha right now is a 25 or a 26, and i was wondering which one to go with. so thats why im wondering

To answer your question, go with the 25. There is no difference in shell between a 25.5 and a 25, and very minor, if any, liner differences. There might be a bootboard difference (slightly thicker in the 25) but in all likelyhood, probably not even that. Essentially, a 25 and a 25.5 are the same.

^^^^your probably right, but i ordered the 26 cause i thought i could have work done to it if it was a little big, do you think that theres goin to be a noticable difference in fit between the 25.5 and the 26? cause the shell is only a little bit bigger...?

it shouldnt make thats much of a difference its best to try and get into the smallest boot you can fit so your toes dont slame forward when you land but if you already ordered it then dont worry it about it

No. I AM right. There's no "probably" involved here.

You can make a small boot bigger, but shrinking a big boot is dumb, and only done in case where it's absolutely necessary for reasons that are complex and not fun to get into online.

If you fit the 25.5, you fit the 25. period.

The difference between a 25.5 and 26 isn't just length. It's VOLUME. Your foot is, believe it or not, and contrary to most bootfitters' opinions, a 3-dimenensional structure, and overall VOLUME affects fit, big time, as does foot shape, etc etc etc.

If you told your rep that you fit the 25.5, and he let you order a 26, then he's a jackass, and probably shouldn't have the job he has. The 25 and the 25.5 are essentially the SAME FUCKING BOOT, and this decision should have been a no brainer. Shit, half the time you order a boot, on pro form, in a half size, they send you the full size down without even telling you (ie order a 25.5, get a 25).

now, NO MORE FUCKING BOOT THREADS ON NEWSCHOOLERS. Please. It's getting really fucking stupid.

a lot of boot companies have the same size shell for boots 1 size apart (ie 25-26). the only difference is a thicker liner. definitely go with the smaller one, theres nothing worse than big boots.

also, youcan widen the shell if needed
