Boot Conflict

Before I say anything, I know what I am doing with boots. I fitted them all last season. I know them pretty much in and out. So don't criticize me.

Well, I have 2 choices for boots. The Salomon Impact 10, which fits me wonderfully, and the Salomon Ghost, that doesn't fit me, but, the shop I am buying them from, are willing to do all the boot-fitting for free. So I would get the boots punched out, specifically for my foot. They guarantee the fit as well.

I could go either way, and I don't know what I should do. Get the boots that fit me stock (without any modifications), or get the boots that don't fit me, but can be made to fit me.

Please feel free to leave any construtive thoughts/opinions. I don't want any BS in here.

Thanks!

i would go with the impacts because they already fit you.... but last year i had a pair of the spks and i got both ankles punched out because they didn't fit right... after that they fit fine and never had a problem with them... just asking why would u wanna buy a boot that doesn't fit you when you could just buy the impacts that do???

Like I said, I could get the ones that don't fit my foot fitted for my foot, which would eventually be a better fit, a cutom fit. But I am not sure if it is worth the time, or just worth it at all.

I don't see how this is even a question. If the impact fits you wonderfully why would you want to get a boot that does not fit you punched out? A punched out boot won't be a "custom" fit it's just going to be ..punched out. If the Impact fits you and you like the flex there's absolutely no reason to get a boot punched out to fit a foot it wasn't meant to. A boot made to fit your foot is without a doubt the better way to go.

ive had the pull strings rip out on two spks, so based on pure quality, id chose the impact, and if you want something with a 120 flex like the ghost, look into the Impact Pro

another good thing about getting impacts, you'll sell them alot easier when your done with them. they wont have any work done on them so they'll fit alot more people... just a thought.

no question...impact 10...
idk what you're thinking..i think u must be getting caught up in the hype of the ghost...
bumping and retro fitting are not fun things to do...and if you hate buying boots now, wait untilu have to deal with the hassels of getting a boot customized, which can greatly change the overal working order of the boot if done incorrectly.
impact 10.
