Boot/binding/skis setup advice

Hey guys, i’m going to be getting a new boot/binding/ski setup for this upcoming season and i’m kind of getting hung up on the aesthetics and wanted some outside input.

I’m dead set on the new Arv 96 and already reserved a pair at my shop, also pretty much set on plain black pivots.

The one thing i’m hung up on is wether to go with the TW Pro kTilts or the Revolver Pro kTilts. The difference in the type of power strap between the two is irrelevant bc i’m replacing it w a booster.

Basic Revolver Pro-

Pros:

•More aesthetically pleasing (matches kit)

•$100+ Cheaper

•Slightly lighter at 1920g vs 2050g

Cons:

•No gripwalk sole

•Non-replaceable sole

•Narrower toe box (?) *Basic Revolver Pro shell vs Revolver Plus shell

TW Revolver Pro-

Pros:

•Replaceable soles

•Gripwalk

•”Revolver Plus” shell (*K2 claims this means it has a slightly wider toe box than the basic Revolver Pro shell for a “roomier fit out of the box”)

Cons:

•Over $100 more expensive

•Really not crazy about this black/blue color way they went with (this is honestly my main point of contention)

•Slightly heavier at 2050g vs 1920g

So what do you guys think? Am I just over thinking the shit out of this and the kit will look good either way? Is essentially having the option to replace warn out soles, a roomier toe box, and having Gripwalk worth an extra $150? Let me know what you think, thanks.

1 Go to boot fitter. They know what’s up and can help you pick the best boot out for you which may not be FT. Don’t worry there are other good 3 piece boots. My favourite is the roxa element.

2. Boot weight does not matter very much because you don’t swing it around like the tip of a ski.

3 Wearing big snow pants you barely see the boot.

4 Read 1 again.

Looks like a good setup tho

[tag=286097]@GYRO_LTD[/tag] Been with this ski shop/bootfitter(s) for close to 11 years and they haven’t done me wrong yet, this is what they recommended after years of 2 piece boots not quite giving me what i wanted. After trying on the regular revolver it fit like a glove without any molding and i’m pretty much set on these and had them special order since i’d like to keep my business loyal to their shop if possible.

[tag=253812]@powpatrol[/tag] please elaborate if u have some useful input and aren’t just trolling

[tag=286097]@GYRO_LTD[/tag] Those are also some great points lol didn’t rlly consider how boot weight doesn’t contribute to swing weight. I guess what it comes down to is not being able to walk on asphalt/concrete as much as i’m used to in my old Gw sole boots if I go with the white jawns.
