Booooooooooooooooooooooots

I've been on the same 25.5 Il moro's for quite some time now, whatever model year the clear white ones are. They fit pretty good, I buckle them once when I start skiing and don't touch them all day, could be a bit softer though. My identical twin brother recently bought some salomon XMax 110's in a 24.5 and I tried them once. They're a bit tight, but they were brand new when I tried them, like not even 5 hours skied on them. Plus the shell is heat moldable and grinding could be done. But the control was way better, it felt like every part of my foot was in contact with some part of the boot.

I'd like something a bit softer than a 110 perhaps, but I can see I'm quickly eliminating lots of options by desiring a 24.5 boot with a 98mm last that's soft. Not to mention there's no shops near me stocking ski gear cause it's summer, let alone anybody who would have a high performance mens boot in a 24.5.

So what else should I be looking at? Technica mach1's? Atomic Redster? Those all come in softer flex but there's not a chance I'll find a place to try those on. I think my dad has some atomic hawx in a 24.5 (not sure on the exact size) that I can't fit into but I can fit into my brothers salomons.

Solomon X-Pro 100's are a lot like the x-max's but they are more for freeride. I've had both and the x-pros are more comfortable. All depends on how they fit your specific foot though. They are only available in 25.5 on EVO

Consider investment in a pair of these bad boys

Please, please do not listen to this. The xmax and xpro boots will fit a very different foot shape.

The xmax suits a narrow-medium, low volume fit whilst the xpro will suit a medium to wide medium volume foot. They are both alpine boots, one is not more freeride oriented.

I'd say if you do have a narrow low volume foot the xmax could suit, combined with a custom footbed and some custom shelling them you may very well get them to the point where they are right, but as mentioned you really should go to bootfitter if you arent sure.
