Boone Skis

Wow dude you really dont have a clue.

Are you saying that if a vodka company went out and put 3 different labels on its vodka that it wouldnt be worth drinking?

they are SKIS, dude. SKIS.

You're really taking it way this seriously and getting all up in arms about a ski company?

I mean really, dude. If you dont like what Boone, or any other company has to offer, dont buy from them. All you're doing here is making up stuff via assumption...

man, i wasn't going to comment, cause ive already taken a lot of shit for my comments on this company, but... i don't really get the vodka comparison. i think it would be kinda weird if they made a few different labels and sold them under different names and those were the only things they were making. i think the different graphic idea is kinda cool and 'progressive' if you want. a lot of people have thought about it before, and it is true that people base part of their ski decision on appearance, and i dont think there is anything wrong with that to be honest. i value aesthetics a lot, and when people say "buy ____ because of quality not appearance" that makes me kinda mad. so ya, different graphics = legit. i think it would be better if you called everything with the same dimensions one name though and had a few different models.

i really think the biggest problem people have is how Boone has come into the industry. they dont seem to have put a lot of r&d in before launching a line, they seem to present themselves as this super amazing, artsy, limited edition kinda product, which they are not. feel free to argue, but in my opinion, i dont need to ride the skis to know this. the riders who are 'sponsored' have been pretty aggressive both in promoting the product and defending themselves. when you represent a product, no matter what some people might say, you, as the face for a company, have an obligation to remain professional. other people on here can make themselves look like idiots and it doesn't really matter.

and i really hate how supporters always look at critics' profiles, see that they ride a certain brand (don't even necessarily list it as a sponsor or anything other than what they ride) and say that there is an obvious bias cause they are 'with' another company. or see that they have small company skis and immediately expect them to support all new companies. how does that make sense?

Can't even be brought into this as a comparable company. for starters, it isn't even a company yet. the only people that have them are doing exactly what many people criticize boone for not doing: testing. and even as just a project at the moment, there are many more models available than boone has.

False, other ski companies are doing this as well next season. I know moment is, and I think a couple other companies might be.

^True. All the companies are starting to figure out that the "John Spriggs" type skiers need some longer sticks, for sure. 170's lengths are not gonna cut it for many people.

Yes and it is about fucking time. There are TONS of skiers 6ft+ who need park skis, and when you have size 12 or 13 feet the skis start to seem soo tiny. I can't wait for people to finally make longer park skis...

true that. I'm 6', and even though i weigh nothing, I still use a size 180. I could only imagine how annoying it is for guys needing park skis that need a size 187 or so...

Guess you'd be stuck using 4frnt MSP's, if some companies dont make at least a small amount of them next season.

your right they don't retail any higher than like salomon or the other companies, but i'm used to buying skis in like the spring when they're way discounted and stuff, and you can't really do that with the smaller companies. but all the money would be going to a legit company so no big deal. wow i'm stoked for the 2010 season already lol
