I just got the Boone Magic sticks and they are sick, i can't wait to ride em.

Anyone who is lookin to buy some new skis that aren't very expensive check out www.booneskis.com
 
on the stiffer side of things, but def. not too stiff to butter around and have fun on. I weigh like nothing and i butter everything on em.
 
Well it's a known fact that boone skis are slathered in downs syndrome making anyone that buys a pair mentally retarded.

They have shitty graphics that look like they were made in MSpaint that aren't worth putting on one ski let alone 3 with the exact same dimensions.

If everyone on MS is thick enough to cave in over skis because they're the sexiest skis on the planet then I fear for your futures.

Just because you work for, ride for, like, or are merely a fan of another ski company, it doesn't mean you need to jump on the "chugga chugga" hate train.

In fact, if you like Moment, Surface, Faction, Fatypus, or any other number of Independent ski labels - you should really not be hating against other core/inde label companies because we are all small and trying to continue to progress skiing - working hard to give all the skiers out there more choices for what they ski on. Myself, as a skier, I like having more choices and I am a big fan of several of the other labels out there. Soo, as some general advice, whether or not you like or dislike our skis - support the Independent core labels out there. Without 'em you would be riding on Salomon 1080's for life. ha ha. much love though.

No - nothing! 1080's were an important part of the evolution. Just wouldn't want to be limited to those forever! So, I'm stoked that there are a lot more options out there for skiers now. Its sweet.

The difference between boone and surface/moment/high society is that they don't whore themselves out because they have nothing to offer the skiing community. Actually there's not just one difference. You don't even belong in the same league as them.

You hire people to put your name out there for completely unimaginative, bland, ordinary skis and slap shitty graphics on them. Maybe if you spent more time into innovating and less time into preying on the majority of idiots on the website you would get some respect from someone that has a clue.

Don't you dare attack Salomon when they are true to their customers and provide high quality skis year after year. You have shit to show for your company other than a retarded fan-base you got by using the SAME MOLD 3 times with 3 different graphics in an attempt to appeal to at least 1:3 people to get them to buy your shitty skis in the first place.

I'll give it another 2 seasons before you either: 1. shut down. 2. get a clue, realize what the most important thing about skiing is, and start giving people quality products instead of force feeding them propaganda.

I'm not on the hate train.

I just hate to see the skiing community fall into a trend like this.

That is pretty heavy hate, but it isn't completely unfounded. Boone does seem like a weak attempt at product line of skis. Yes, it would have been innovative in 2002 and comparable to the Rossi Scratch line. 92 in the center for a pow ski? Really? You say they are light weight, but you don't have weights on your site or compare them to any other skis?

You are a small company, do something innovative, maybe a park ski that's 76 in the center. I guarantee that a lot of people would find that a much better park only ski. I would. You don't have to make a pow ski retardedly fat or have ridiculous rocker, but make it fatter than fucking pocket rockets.

I know you can't change this, but Boone just reminds me of Boone's Farm. In the fake wine category there are much better alternatives. Night Train, Mad Dog, Thunderbird. Each one of those would be a baller name and you have a built in fan base (me).

Also you just don't conduct yourself that well on NS. I just get the feeling that you guys are college freshman and have no idea how to properly run a company. It is good to answer questions, but you shouldn't just jump in and recommend your skis to everyone who is looking, it makes your company seem insecure and really hurting for sales.
 
people will love them if they had the 93, a ski that is as light as humanly possible, and skinney, and a 120 with alot of rocker!

wooooowwwww intense!!! never seen so much bitching on ns. the ONLY part i agree with is the statement about suggesting your ski to basically everyone who asks about skis, but i mean sure they could be great skis, it just seems a little desperate (no offense you guys seem hella legit to me).

If you don't like the skis that all good everyone has their own opinion, but you don't have to diss on it them you don't like em.

Using karma ratings to bash someone is pretty damn lame, seeing as how they don't really mean much. And if you are going to start bashing on karma, make sure you have some first.

And if you want to talk about being progressive with skis, lets not have the pow ski top out with a 93mm waist at 180cm, thats a midfat for a midgit who can't ski worth shit for christ sake.

and your very different from moment, kingswoods, capital, iggnacious, dps, pmgear, and others. They build their skis fuckstick. also they (you can now add bluehouse) come up with intresting and progressive shapes and skis, not to mention none of them (you can now add surface) whored the shit out of these forums as well as hooking people up inexchange for them to start whoring forums, with how great your untested (for the most part) skis are.

and when you have one of your little minions post a video premoting your skis, try and atleast have the majority of the skiers in the edit be using your product. Which leaves me with the question: were they not using boone skis because a) they suck, b) they did not exist at that time, c) both (a) and (b).

the only thing I will give you is that you do seam to be getting the skis to the people who bought them, which puts you above (in my opinion) 9thward

 
How come you Uncle muscles and XavierD don't like boones skis. You say they are peices of shit. What happened didnt like the flex, the topsheet chipped way to easily, skis fell apart. Oh wait I bet you never even skied them let alone seen them in person. Do us all a favor and shut the fuck up with your stupid bashing and tearing boone apart. Everyone on NS knows that you guys do not like boone and how they operate. You guys come on here and insult boone time after time and now you are starting to call the people that buy the skis retards and insult us. Please you don't know me are anyone else that buys them. i think their point is more along the lines of design. as stated before a 92 waisted ski isnt a pow ski its a midfat/all mountain.

not to mention whoring the shit out of the forums with every "what ski should i buy" thread saying "ZOMGZ BUY BOONE SKIS KH:FHSKHKFSLSDF" its just obnoxious marketing
 
pretty sure xavier was mostly commenting on how they present themselves on here, as being a new, 'core', progressive company. he's right; nothing about the skis themselves is really that progressive. the prices seem good, provided the ski is of decent quality, but that's about it. as sad as it is that most people on here base their purchases on graphics, it's a reality, and boone is certainly not leading the pack in that department. that being said, their skis may be really durable and ski great, but representing yourself in a more professional manner will definitely help your cause.

never once have I attacked anyone who bought boone skis (people who got hooked up and call themselves sponsored aka matt fry are a whole other ball game) Nor Have I ever attacked the construction of boone skis, other then to say that the durability is untested, when some one claimed they were supper durable. never once have I attacked the flex either. The only things that I attack are the designs, and the marketing strategy. mainly the marketing strategy.

 
I gotta agree with Xavier here, I didn't want to be the first to say it, and he said it way better than me anyway. There is nothing really special about your skis, they could have been made 3 or 4 years ago and I wouldn't know the difference.

I think the graphics are ok though, and as far as the dimensions of your skis, they are just like any other ski....maybe that isn't a bad thing.....but it definitely isn't progression.

It's your prerogative if you want to buy boone skis, don't get me wrong, but the company itself needs to get its head out of its ass and stop treating us like morons.

Act professionally if you want to be a legitimate business.
 
i'd just like to say that i had a PM thing with boone_skis, and he said next season they should be making their park specific ski in a 186 or so length, for us lanky folk. if they follow through on this (which i really really hope they do), they'll be the first company to make a under 90mm waste park specific ski in that length, which makes sense because i'm skiing on the same length as dumont, whos about a foot shorter than me. and don't say volkl has a 185 ski, cause they doesn't measure out that long.

Nobody has every called a 93 waist a POWDER SKI. I use mine for park skiing for christ sakes! no SHIT its not a powder ski, haha. Its just better at rippin up powder than the park ski width, and thats all.

I'll admit, I have gone out there and suggested our skis to some people that might be interested. But really, whats the big deal? Everyone else is suggesting skis like Salomons and whatever. I'm just stoked about Boones so i suggest them too.

I dont say they are greater than other skis, or more 'core' really. I just say what they are.

People just find any reason the can to hate I guess.

I finally just got some after actually skiing them on Hood this year. You're the retard - and quit bullying everyone from behind your computer ya puss, I bet if you were face to face with any of these guys, you wouldn't have the balls to say jack shit. haters never prosper - now I hope ON3P sinks if they keep you on board. Why would you hope ON3P sinks if they keep me on board? because I am supportive of innovative skis that are built by the same people who design the skis, ride the skis, and are stoked on the skis? And to say I am with ON3P is kinda stretching it. It is Iggyskiers, idea and project, and as one of his friends I am supportive of him and it. I think on3p is a very cool project that Iggyskier is doing and I value that sort of idea and think is is benefitual to skiing.
 
just fyi....while there are many people who have helped out develop ON3P, helped by getting prototypes this season, helping finish the skis, etc, when it gets down to it, ON3P is me and me alone.

and do you see me going in these threads talking shit? hardly ever. If I wanted to, I could. and you know what? what I would have to say would be fucking legit and truthful. but again, I don't because all these small companies are in the same struggle to make it and all care about skiing, so really want is the point?

the issue has been this: there has been a rash of boone postings.

spam, hype, advertising, stoke, whatever you want to call them. some

people have been getting annoyed by it, which honestly they are

intitled too. it has been excessive at times.

the whole issue really is a moot point. you either like boone or you

don't, as with any company. these threads have been beat to death at

For all the haters who think boone graphics suck, YOU ARE WRONG. If you look at all the detail in say the magic sticks it is crazy, you just have to have a good eye to see it and once you do youre like wow...these skis are sick. And who ever said that the 93 waist was a powder ski, they call it PARK/powder for a reason. I bought mine because i really like supporting small companies and the ski fits me like perfectly, an all mountain park ski that will work in the powder is like perfect. You people shouldn't be hatin on boone just cuz they're a little different. Open up your minds!!

you people are getting so defensive over a ski company? id say stop trying to back them up before they're proved at all. after a season or two, people will know whether or not they are a good product.
 
That's the thing big guy.. they aren't different. It's like if I made a bicycle, called it an all-terrain motorcycle, then targeted a specific demographic of people that I could get to genuinely believe it was a good product, I would be considered an asshole in the marketing world.

You don't see that the boone manufacturer thinks hes a genius because hes saving shit tons of money on the actual production of the skis by using one mold and putting 3 different designs on it. He's playing you people like a fiddle and you guys are falling for it just because you want "The sexiest skis on the planet."

Boone is PRETENDING to be a cool laid-back company but this guy knows what he's doing by getting you to eat it up. Buy quality skis made by the people for the people, not this tired shit that's insulting us as skiers.
