howdy, i am buying a pair of these this week and was wondering if any one else on this site has ridden them.?

your guys skis have always seemed dope...small patches, some ill graphics, bamboo and sandwitched construction etc

but no disrespect they are very pricey if they werent, maybe 250 cheeped i would defiantly try and pick some up

but what should i say obviously you guys found your nitch and its working so keep it up

I have never skied any Boone ski, but they wouldn't be priced where they are now if they weren't making money, so clearly plenty of people think the Glo Sticks are worth the price.

stoked on the skis, loved my majic stix last year, had a lot of fun on them. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK and i cant wait to ski on my GLO STICKs , too bad winter is so far of

I am confused by the description of the bases for the glo sticks.

"Layer 7. Extruded/Sintered P-Tex 4400"

is it extruded or sintered? I had thought before that a base was either Extruded or Sintered. They are two distinctly different construction processes for base material.

Hi guys - just as an fyi, the pow skis aren't $900. The normal MSRP is $650 on our semi-custom skis.
BOONESKIS.COM is under construction right now - we're dropping a brand new website with all our new skis and gear around August 30th! Thanks for pointing out the typos - we thought we could either take the site down over the summer or just leave it up as-is for the next month or so while we build the new site.
Also happy to report the new ski press is super sick and we'll be offering fully custom skis as well as our semi-custom skis. 1. Choose your ski shape (Freeride, Pow reverse camber, Park) 2. Choose your length 3. Choose your Artwork 4. Need accessories - rivets? add 'em! 5. Check-out your own custom ski!
Thanks for the support guys - we've been working super hard to give you another choice in product that is a lot of fun to ride!

Hey Cobra_Commander, Mrstskier, and the rest of the ON3P Crew!
Thanks for pointing out the obvious ;)
We have some updates happening on our website and we have had website programmers make typos in the past. We use Sintered bases and yes - thank you for the ski construction lesson, we realize those are two distinctly different processes!!
Thanks ON3P!! You guys keep up the good work! We'll continue to support ON3P and all the other independent ski labels out there despite your best attempts at in-fighting.
It's pointless gentlemen - especially when you consider the 10's of thousands of skis that the big boys sell every year. We are just a tiny drop in the bucket. We are here because we are a rider collective that loves this sport and we are committed to continue to do whatever we can to: 1. Build some cool skis that are fun to ride 2. promote our sport 3. help young athletes pursue their freeskiing goals....and that's just the beginning.

No one from on3p has posted in this thread, that is just your paranoid self talking.

I am not connected to on3p in any way other then that I buy their skis because I think they make a great product at a reasonable price. That is all.

FUCK.

Seriously, how many times must it be pointed out that there are only two On3p employees in the world right now: Scott and Rowen? Those guys are friends of mine and colleagues as it pertains to NS, and I've supported them from the start, but even MY contributions extend about as far as input on whether or not the graphics look good. Drop the conspiracy theories.

This is like suggesting some corporate "infighting" when iphone fanboys argue with blackberry fanboys over which is the better phone. If the opinions of every kid who buys a pair of On3ps is to be imputed to Scott and Rowen well they're not going to like that very much.

Also, I am not Scott's lawyer, but if I were I would probably point out to him that that post is textbook libel.

We at BOONE Skis are all good with Scott and Rowen! As noted in the previous post - we SUPPORT ON3P as we do with all independent ski labels! We just don't support mis-information put out there. I'll let Scott chime in agreement...

its true. in the stereo skis contest thread they asked if they get an advantage for using their stereo skis because they love them.

Fuck Boone. He was asking a question, and you respond with this wise-ass response. And they aren't even part of ON3P as J.D. already pointed out. On top of that, fuck companies who say "hahahaha" when they get criticism... How about you answer their criticism with a well thought out response instead of a shitty answer such as "hahahaha"?

For Boone:

Internet brand relations and social media marketing 101

- Never insult your customers/potential customers

- Never say anything that could be construed as insulting a competitor when you are both small fish in a big pond

- Never say anything negative about an online community or individuals within an online community

- If your brand is being systematically trashed (which it isn't), put out the correct information in a positive light and try to engage the community on it

So basically what you should have done here is ignored trash talking from 14 year old kids and just put out positive information on your product to the community, instead you come across looking like a bunch of assholes and there is zero positive impact on your company/brand and you've wasted a bunch of your own time.

BOONE is definitely a great company, their product is sick, and their customer service as noted above is really killer.( have never had any better) I just received my BOone GLo Sticks and they look and feel great. OF course some of their early shit had a few probs, but my glo sticks dont have the edge meeting at the tip like my magic stix which caused the only prob i had with those, I cant wait to try em out since my last pow ski was the K2 mad n AK and i have never tried rockered powder skis!!
BOONE=really good company in my opinion ( for what ever its worth haha)
