Bonnaroo lineup....Um, fuck me.

Arcade FireNiel YoungStrokesPretty LightsExplosions in the SkyGogol BordelloOCMSWalkmenThe Drums!!!Hayes Carll.

Yup, I'd rather go to this than Brochella.

this alone would be enough for me. although i'm not sure if bonnaroo would be a great place to see them. i would much rather see them in a more intimate, indoors setting in portland or seattle or something.

Explosions in the Sky at Sasquatch a few years ago on the smaller stage was probably one of the most beautiful things i've ever experienced musically.

Lineup came out tuesday. There are already thread about the lineup.

And this lineup is wack. This fest is dead. Have fun on the farm drinking natty ice and spening money on bunk drugs, all while roasting in the heat

dude can you not hate on every single fest we talk about in these forums? It's fucking obnoxious. literally i don't think i have seen one positive post from you about them other than "back in the old days." get over yourself.

why do none of you have string cheese on our little lists? are you all insane?

that being said, seeing them and explosions in the sky would be amazing.

You sir, are negative. How can you say that lineupis whack? This is the best lineup of the year (or waka)

Yeah, sure bonarroo is disgustingly commercialized, and it's no Roth or Waka. But great music surrounded by good people, you still get that at Roo. Plus, you're gonna find bunk drugs and assholes drinking natty ice at any fest you go to.

Lol? What your problem bro. People are fluffing the lineup and it really isn't that good. Fucking deal with it. Think what you want, I don't care. If you knew more festivals you'd realize there are some sick lineups, way more intimate, for way less money.

And I've actually been to bonnaroo before. Peace foo

This def isn't the best lineup of the year. Waka lookds good this year, probably won't make it. Summercamp is pretty stacked and that was a $100 ticket for early birds.

As for the end, yeah there is shit everywhere, but bonnaroo collects it hard these days.

my brother asked me to go with him but if im gonna be the only one there not doing drugs, hmmm...............

It won't matter. There are so many people at festivals, you can meet some other people that are sober, or hang with your bro.

Or just use the old, 'when in rome' Logic :)

Also, gotta agree with Abortionator on this one. Wack lineup. Is MTV a corporate sponsor or somethin??

Ive been to some myself bro along with enough concerts to not be able to put a number on it, and if you seriously think the Roo is a shitty festival with a weak lineup you can seriously go fuck yourself. there is the best of every genre basically in this one lineup and everyone playing is sick, honestly you are so pretentious its ridiculous, and btw yes this is the best lineup bonaroo has had
Get over yourself.

I won't comment about the lineup cause I like a lot of the bands, but what you described was a surprisingly accurate account of my experience at Bonnaroo last year

Yeah. I'm sure especially with dmb/kol headliners. I think some people think I'm saying you can't have fun at bonnaroo. I'm not saying that at all. I just think it was better before. They basically cut jambands completely from the lineup when they were what made that festival great in the first place. Those were the people that got that festival to grow, then they sold out and said fuck you.

Would I pay for a ticket this year? Hell no. But if I had a free ticket I would def go and have plenty of fun. I just need a real lineup to justify all that money to burn in the sun for 4 days.

holy shit, that looks so sick...

bass nectat and pretty lights

explosions in the sky and arcade fire

neil young and buffalo springfield..

god damnit i wanna go so bad

Don't even start with that douchebag. He is a huge loser when it comes to concerts, unless its a festival with bands that nobody knows, or its a phish show he will shit on the concert.... That being said, the lineup looks really good, but I have seen close to 15 of them already.

holy repost batman!

no but really the lineup seems bad when you first read it but i would give it like a solid 7

haha, what the hell? The line-up has Neil Young, Old Crow Medicine Show, and the Decemberists. And then they have Opeth and the Sword. Seems kind of different.... Not that I mind, I love all those bands just what is their demographic? Especially looking at the fact that they also got Lil' Wayne and Eminem.

just by a plane ticket and go to the reading festival... pretty much every band you would want to hear plays that festival. Oh ya,,, its been going on for 40 years as well

That festival wouldn't have existed without jambands, just saying. You may not like them but that's what got that festival rolling and made it big in the first place. I understand what their going for with including all kinds of different music. It's fun to see bands that you wouldn't normally see. Like I caught part of dillinger escape plan my last time there. Was a good show. Not something I'd normally go see but when you already are there you can check out a little bit of everything. I just kind of wish they had kept some more jam in there at least with everything else.

If anyone goes, have fun. Take the backroads in. Traffic jam is a bitch. 8 hour traffic jam in the last 5- 10 miles after you've driven cross country isn't fun. There will be a shit ton of cops everywhere pulling people over for anything. Be careful, don't want to get arrested before you even make it there. Def fill your tank before you go in. If you're going with a group of people check out possibly renting an rv. Might be pricey but being able to sleep for a little from 7-noon makes things a lot easier. If you bring bottled water you can refill your water bottles in centeroo for.(lines might get long as some of them run out but still free water will save you) Bring plenty of food. Buying food there can get expensive and you probably won't be able to get your care out to go and get more. If you don't want hep c don't go in the fountain the 3rd 4th day. Shit turns brown. Be safe, look out for each other and have fun.

actually yes i have. Ones such as Osheaga, Heavy MTL, and the Montreal Jazz fest. Heavy MTL is only heavy metal, Osheaga is more rock and some rap, and Jazz fest is, for the most part, some kind of jazz. Take a look at Download fest in the UK. That also follows a certain type of music -metal. I am used to music fests following a specific genre. Then I can actually watch every band that plays.

wow you are incredibly lucky. didn't even know they've come to sasquatch, i hope they do again sometime soon. next year perhaps.
