I know there was a thread a few months ago, but that was just about the line up....

but who's going?

I'm almost positive I'm going at this point and I'm pretty stoked to see Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, Damien Marley and Nas, Phoenix, Rise Against, Dropkick Murpheys, Kid Cudi, Deadmau5, Rebelution, B.O.B, Bo Burnham and a bunch of others.

It's almost here. Discuss.

Damian Marley & Nas? As in together as one act? That is fucking amazing. Jimmy Cliff? Tenacious D? Sounds pretty cool. Too bad its in Tennessee. Seriously who lives in Tennessee?

people say to mark your tents you put up flags. I was thinking someone makes a huge newschoolers flag and we all gather and have a bluntsapalooza. Anybody?

bump for me deciding to go today. 22 hour drive here i come. and i'm down for your plan. i'll probably wear my ns shirt at least one day and see if i get any chads gap callouts. haha.

First there have been multiple threads.

Second, the lineup fucking blows this year. Yes there are some good bands. But this lineup is shit compared to other years, def not worth the money or the drive. Last year was the last decent roo lineup. They basically said fuck their roots this year. They've been making a point to go super mainstream but this year they just went all out. I mean fuck, dmb and kol headliners? Jesus christ thats rough.Last year was a good time though. It makes sense though, the dmb crowd is exactly the crowd that roo is looking for now.

Nateva, and all good are gonna kill it this year. I'm def going to those, mountain jam, vibes, moe.down, and might even do summer camp and bisco(bisco crowd scares me though)

Seriously, so many better fests this year. Sucks about no rothbury but theress still plenty of good shit to go see.

Should have searchbarred it. I'm not a jayz fan. Damien and Nas did festivals last year. Phoenix was at roo last year. Rebelution is way overated. You really didn't even pick out the best things in the lineup. Although the lineup isn't that good. And It's still a month a way not almost year. I'll save my money for the good fests, and the phish and further tours.

I found your cat.

Doesn't even fit dude. Roo has been huge for years. It has nothing to do with it being cool. The crowd is going to be even more lame this year, lacking heady people. And the lineup blows. Not wanted to spend a grand and a week in the worlds hottest field, 20 something hour drive, almost 30 if I hit the jam going in,lacking a good lineup, just not worth it.

I did searchbar that was my first sentence of the thread the only thread was the release of the lineup which quickly died...Why are you trying to argue about what kind of music I like? The reason I'm going to bonnaroo is that its close to home and is one of the few festivals I can go to. I like jay-z, I've never seen Damien Marley and Nas, and imo Nas is the best rapper alive today. I've never seen Phoenix and Rebelution is one of my favorite bands. I've already seen them many times. I do not like DMB I will probably not see them. Honestly, this is my first big festival type concert and I'm stoked to go so why bring people down. If you think bonnaroos gay this year then why post and try to start shit about people's tastes in music which is 100% subjective.

Not 100%. Rebelution is overrated. Plus the fact that you could see those bands without going to roo. You picked out the bands that really aren't worth the $300. Other than Jay-z who I'm sure is an expensive show on his own(not a fan anyway) Even as shitty as the lineup is this year. There still are some real gems that you wouldn't see anywhere else. Stevie wonder is def one of those. the farm is dead.

I bumped this thread to post this from last year.

Finally found a vid of the mud kid raging the campground late night thursday. Just followed the music and found some kids jammin hard, and the one kid living in the mud. Later on he was dumping mud from a water bottle on himself and rubbing it in. Quality shit
