France cant stand the US??? Germany cant stand the US???....hmmm interesting. well just so you know France does support our actions and as soon as saddam does unleash chemical or bio weapons (which he did in the gulf) then they will jump right in, which would make the count 46 countries who are with the USA in full support. the reason france chooses (germany too) is because it is in their best economic interest to stay out of the war. they provide the majority of iraq with its weapons as does germany. if we take out iraq then they loose that business and currently their economies are not doing so well, therefore it is easy to see why they would puss out. everyone hates the USA??? interesting. i dont even know where you are from , but i do know that where ever you live its in a country that has been aided by the USA on countless occasions to the highest possible extent. so bend over bitch. 45 countries my friend. 45.

iraq has documented that saddam has killed 130,000 innocent men and woman and children. he has brutally raped and tortured little girls and boys along with adults. world reports have accurately estimated that the true death toll caused by saddam and his regime is over 200,000. you do the math. how can people still be dying??? i'm assuming you are talking about radiation, which doesnt make sense because incubation, although slow, is faster than that. show me your proof. aside from that japan unleashed hell on pearl harbor and we set a standard by bitch slapping them. yes innocent people died and i dont say i agree with our actions to kill that many innocent people in japan and that is why we dont use weapons like that anymore. instead we try to get weapons of that nature out of the hands of potential threats...sorta like saddam bud.

we have tried to give them money, but that does not work because saddam will just take the money and leave the people without gain. as far as food goes....we will and have already made plans to provide food and other accomodations (this effort is worldwide and not just by the US), but the problem is that saddam will either have the food taken away from the people or he will use the media to scope lies by saying that the US has given the iraq people poisoned food in hopes to kill them, which is what he did in the gulf war and it is also what osama did in afghanistan. its not a win win situation. similarities can also drawn from mogadishu in 1993 were the militia was keeping humanitary aid from getting to the people.

Yes from radiation, it was only 50 years ago man 9give or take) if i have a baybe, after i got that much radiation, they will die by the age of 30. and sure, something had to be done, but 300 thousand people on your first attack, and then to do it again? you know what the pilot that dropped the bomb carved in the plane? 'what have i done?' see, not even he agreed. maybe they didd do a surprise attack, but to kill that many people just disturbs me. i know you dont agree with it, i dont blame you for it, i am just saying it was wrong. and if thats whats going to happen here, i disagree with it entirely. think about it, they dropped the first bomb over a hospital, that fried everyone in a 1 mile radius instantly. gone. just killed them. thne the heat, and blast sent others flying to die torturous deaths, all of the rescue workers would later die of radiation, and then, you drop ANOTHER (icing on the cake right?). Keep in mind this is the first time the UN has been defy'd. USA is going to be the first country to defy the un, go into a country, and kill thousands. You know what else is ironic? when attacking after 9/11, bush dropped a bomb on a red cross building. The people that were there to help you, when you were attacked, are now dead. And dont make any whining posts when the terrorist attacks start this time, because you made the first move, and that asked for it. I think the name of this thread says it all.

i studied abroad there all last summer and that is why i get so pissed when people think that bush is an egotistic war hungry cowboy and all is well in iraq and all of the people in iraq are content when the fact is that it isnt true at all. people are being persecuted on a daily basis and it has to stop. my host family told me that you learn to live fear when you live in iraq. its just something you do just as you would brush your teeth in the morning. people dont deserve to live like that.

Well how would you feel if someone dropped a bomb on your house in the middle of the night when you were sleeping SUpilot? Or how about when your child is blown apart in a mist of blood? Or when you come home from school to find your house a fiery blaze, both your parents burnt to death? This will be a reality for thousands of Iraqis, INNOCENT Iraqis if this war does go through.

I have yet to se any prrof that what the U.S. is saying is true. They show hazy satelite phots showing some buildings and show us that these are nuclear or biological weapon factories. For all I know those are hot dog plants. We havn't been shown any REAL evidence, but they make you believe it is real.

We also need to learn the difference between 'knowledge' and 'opinion,' and know that simple statements of fact are almost completely irrelevant.

Take, for example, SUPilot's fact that Saddam Hussein's regime has killed thousands of Kurds. This is a truth. This is a fact. But does it justify war? Many governments kill their own citizens, the US included. Turkey has killed more Kurds than Iraq has. The UN has killed more Iraqis than Hussein has. Cancer and AIDS are killing more people than every war in the 20th century.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, there really isn't any right or wrong here.

And Supilot can you please provide us a link to a reputable source about these 200,000 Iraqi deaths Saddam has caused so we know you're not just making this up. I don't doubt it, but it has been a rather common occurence from both sides in the past couple days to claim rumors as fact and make things up to fill in gaps.

you see you still dont get it....honestly who cares!!! think about it. i dont care if they dont have any bombs. the fact is that they torture kill murder rap men woman and children. 200,000+ to be exact. you risk few to save many and realize that innocent people will die. of all the militaries in the world the USA views civilian casualties as a primary concern and that is why we pump millions and billions into designing weapons systems which allow us to bomb with unprecedented precision (ie surgical bombing). i agree that it isnt fair and war is hell without a doubt, but it the BIG PICTURE hundreds of thousands would be saved as a result. 200,000 innocent people...and not just that, but children being raped...i cant imagine that, can you? that is why we must act. 45 and soon to be 46 countries agree with USA actions because they too see the humanitarian benefits that will result from this war. if you cant see it then you are blind.

I am speaking completely with facts, and some opinions (it's obvios wich is which)... still, I have tried to say in other threads that we are not going to cahnge people's opinions as you said... but well, the facts can sway you one way or another.

I hate bush, I always will. I wish he was not in office. I wish we didn't have to go to war. 10+ years from the UN did a lot to slow Iraq, but they're still draining money from the 'Oil for food' campaign. they are still killing thousands of people. YES more people have died from otehr things... no one will deny that. Once he is out, iraq will be able to progres and industrialize more sucessfully. In the long term, this is for the best.

yah i agree with you on the waiting part. i'm thinking we should haev waited at least another month maybe or 2 before just going in. And the part about the easier way, we have tried that, it hasn't worked. i am sure that we have tried to assinate sadaam multipul times or tried something else yah know, but it hasn't worked. and sometimes wars have to be fought, it is stupid yes but it sometimes has to happen. its basically human nature, wars have been fought for ever.

I just don't believe he will ever attack you guys or anyone else who is attacking him. I'm definately on hios side, but your justifications for war seem based on emotion rather than logic.
