Bolton

15 degrees is pretty cold

If you're not looking at NOAA, are you even looking?

Bonsai that was stupid to say, dont forget your swim floaties Joey.

If only I could give you more karma.........hahahahahaha
good to see you back.....how's the knee feeling? surgery yet?

Haha this made me laugh.

I for one will not be participating in any such event. What does it look like up there? Is everything ice? Or is it just like the middle of winter (slightly less ice)?

Snow is great up here, for real! The trees are nuts......we have been getting 2-3 inches a night all week, it's like mid-winter!
We will re-open the step-down after grooming on sunday [hopefully with (a) new wedge(s)].....and the Sam/DFD rail is up to next to the down bar.

Yeah i was there yesterday and it was like mid-winter. Lots of snow still left in the trees, some crusties but you cant complain for late march. The jungle jib set up is nice but what were they thinking with that pond? People are going to have to hike half the park just to watch. And you wont be able to see it from the deck. I thought the whole point of the pond skim was for spectators?

Yesterday. New ACL graft from my knee cap and some stitching and trimming to both meniscus. Dr. said it went well. Apparently 30% stronger - that must mean 30% bigger jumps. I am psyched my healing process is well on its way.

great day up there today, the new stepdowns are really fun. what was with the his/ her? the looked enormous. also, what was going on up by the windmill? there seemed to be a run-in built up behind it with some ski tracks on it.

I have not seen the park....I was enjoying my only day off skiing trees at t-line (yes waterfall is still droppable). I had asked the his/her get re-pushed in a larger/poppy way, so that we can all learn some new stuff this last week (supposed to be really nice weds and thurs).....so I hope they are in good shape. And if not, I'll spent as much time on them today as I have to.
The huge piles of snow at the top of vista were moved so that maintenance crews could have access to the wind turbine........we may try and do something up there, but it would be ninja style on saturday or sunday (mtn management don't like us messin' around with that there windmill).

So, the park is just starting to look nice again after the pond incident. We have asked that the groomer push the his and hers together to make one wide 35-40ft stepdown......hopefully it works out.
Anywho.....it's gonna snow, the trees have been unreal all week and are just gonna get better.
Oh yeah.....3 dollar bill was hiked and skied on tuesday. claim.

Hoping to get the mtns gopro tomorrow for some hike only BV tomorrow, it'll be in there. But here's what I've done with my past two afternoons (a few hours)./static/images/flash_video_placeholder.png

park will be open....big jumps may not be.......but the new ones (boys and girls) and the top right one will definitely be open

Butters is in great shape for tomorrow......everything's open and looking good, including two totally redone wedges for the his and hers. Come session, tomorrow's the last day for the park!

Last day of the season for Bolton Valley parks. It was a great one, and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Make sure to get your pass for next year for future stunting.

no one's looked at this for a while, but i'm thinking of heading up in search of the last snow tomorrow. it is also quite possible that it snowed there last night and this morning, not sure though. anyway, if anyone else wants to ski, i'll be there

just found this run going through footage from the year at bolton......I'm not going to use it, so I thought I'd post it here. Nothing special, just a mellow end of day run.Courtesy of Newschoolers.com/static/images/flash_video_placeholder.png

nice! hope cali's been sick. it sucks not having the daily report anymore but i guess you're in a better place haha

Awesome news everyone! Ian Compton has agreed to judge at Friday's rail jam. So come to the Bolton Valley Tennis Courts at 5:PM on September second to have a good time.

Unfortunately it probably will be just the flat box again. We have holes drilled into the tennis court which support the legs, so that's why its the go-to box. There are plenty of spots still open, so make sure you register sir.

We will also have a box for the Vermont Food Shelf and will be taking donations to help our families, like mine, still trapped in Southern VT.

anyone going to the jam coming through burlington and could give me a ride? id help pay for gas and everything just lemme know!!

I don't set up the online registration, so unfortunately I can't really help. Last year not many people pre-registered, so I am pretty sure there will be open spots. Registration starts at 5:PM.

Thanks again Bolton! That was tons of fun, especially since I wasn't expecting a railjam anytime soon. Great way to start the season.

there are only a few pics I've seen......but I'll ask Allison to put em up on shred boltannn and the blog. And big thanks to everyone that showed up!

Nice edit Max, short and sweet. All the photos that have been given to me are on the Shred Bolton facepage. I haven't been able to update the blog for a while (some technical nonsense I certainly don't understand), so any and all Bolton related stuff is on facebook. I'm trying to see if I can talk the establishment into hosting another jam, maybe opening day.

I forgot about that day...it was super fun!Anywho....it's official I'll be back at Boltannn this winter!

short edit soonish.....like when it finishes converting.
