Bolton

^^that 7 was nice :)
anywho.....park will most likely be closed today, until we can get it groomed and re-shaped. But, that's only because it has snowed well over a foot and it's not supposed to stop till noon!!!!!!!!!!
I hope a few of you guys can make it up the hill, turns should be amazing.

i really hope i can, but as yet far, it seems to be an impossibility. there's about 18'' of drifting snow, in some places lots moreBLIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZARD!!!!!!!!

Beach boys are awesome! Jimmy and I played "save the park" yesterday in the rain. Hopefully the shoveling and being completely soaked all day pays off.

so we tried to go up at about noon. first off, my dad missed the exit so we had to drive about 20 miles out of our way thru waterbury. when we finally made it to the road, the little honda civic was no match for the first hill and we ended up having to back down to the bottom. the moral of the story is to get a 4x drive car.
nick- it sounds really sick up there. did you get any vid/ pics? i'd love (or maybe not) to see the greatness that i missed out on

Nah, I'm to busy taking my tricks to the backcountry. Anyway, I think I'll just be taking laps where ever until Night Riders starts and then just move into the Jib Jungle/Box Canyons/Park Plateau/Terrain Tundra etc

i might actually do this. i built the sickest backflip jump behind my house today got my first backflips off of it. i'll maybe take tomorrow off from bolton to sesh this and get some sick shots before the rain comes in and ruins the softness of the landing

No idea if there will be an air and style type of event......but I hope so. Also, JJ and progression should have been groomed out last night. And they should open by later this afternoon. The big park had to be re-shaped entirely yesterday, 90% of the lips are new (including his and hers) and it still needs some touch up work with the cat, but overall it's in great shape for tonight........and soft!I'll be judging you skier kids tonight......so put your game face on!

No grooming occurred last night, not really sure why. So unfortunately the JJ and Prog park are both closed. Waiting for the groomer as we speak. Tonight there will be two jams: rail and jump. Hope everyone does well!

Just wanted to let everybody know that Bolton mtn management wants to build a fucking pond in the middle of my park........yup, that's right. Bolton is going to build a mother fucking joey pond for some d-bag gaper to skim (fall into) in the middle of Butters. If this happens you can expect for me to throw a HUGE rage fit and quit on the spot. I encourage you to bitch, moan and complain to guest services; as well as, have your parents, friends, and random acquaintances complain. It's been a good year, and I thought that Bolton was going to keep heading in the right direction (parks wise). But, they have not.......this potential decision to put the pond in the middle of the park is a slap in the face. So yeah, you guys are awesome and it was chill getting to know everybody.......but, I'm leaving for Lake Tahoe in a month and not coming back to Bolton next year (unless something drastic happens). So, in the remaining few weeks of the season I encourage everybody to literally ski and destroy.Nick

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

what are we going to do without you nick? i hope for our sake that something drastic happens. however, i'm sure that we can all wish you good luck wherever you're going.

as far as the pond, in the past they've done pondskimming on the last or second to last day that they are open, so maybe it won't be a huge issue. i hope

FUCK THAT! Spring skiing is what I look forward to in my park career every year!

I'll join you in steering them in the right direction.

Also, you shouldn't leave. The only thing keeping boltons park good is you. However, I see the temptation of moving out west. This weather makes me want to quit the east coast.

Also, why not put it where they normally do? What possible logic could they have for destroying the park when they have plenty of other reasonable options...

Destroying the park is stupid. Why? So that 20 people can fall into a pond and drunk spectators can laugh? I bet you could get the same crowd if you had a big air and handed out hot dogs at the bottom.

The stupidity at bolton mgmnt never ceases to amaze me.

On an unrelated note is anyone going to be there thursday, St. Patricks Day? I plan on getting all dressed up in green and hitting rails and drinking.

hahahaha....oh meases pieces
anywho......Bolton changed their hours for the remainder of the season....10-5 on days without night skiing......so we got that going for us, which is nice.

Alright, comming up today with Tim...

If it's springy, BACKFLIPS (Cough you should make the side jump really poppy Cough).

the small jump in butters should be ok.....we were supposed to get groomed last night, but it never got that cold so I don't know......park was (and should be today) in great shape either way. Also, Nick and I spent a lot of time on the his and hers and they are now a small and large version of each other.....meaning the hers got some pop and the his lost a touch (just a touch). I may be around to film this afternoon if the light is good......I'll post a little something from yesterday for motivation.

There is so much snow at the bottom of the Jungle Jib, Pintauro and I made a tree gap jump and a small tree stall. Hopefully these features last a little while. I expect the raging river underneath will eventually melt out the rest of the ravine. It feels lonely here today, and there's no Night Riders :(

backflipped the tree gap at the bottom of jj/ claim. it was super fun today, but not as springy as would be desired.

Just a heads up for this weekend; Saturday is the College Social "Leprechaun Shred-a-thaun". There will be a rail jam in the Jungle Jib @ 12:PM and a jump jam in the Butterscotch park @ 2:PM. Needless to say the Jungle Jib will be closed for this event, reopening around 2:PM. The Butterscotch park will be closed from 1:30 until 3:45, then reopening for the rest of the evening.

Don't forget to submit your videos to the Bolton Valley facebook page for the Homegrown Movie Night. Then get as many "likes" as you can on your video. You'll be entered in a chance to win some prizes March 26th at 8:PM in Fireside Flatbread. Be sure to label your video as "My Homegrown Submission". Keep 'em clean, and keep 'em fun!

Just finished filming for BV's homegrown.........edit soon. The unofficial name is "Nick n' Nick hate pond skimming"

No idea.....but I have recently been to the prize room (a closet filled with dope stuff) and it's still pretty stocked, so I think the prizes will at least be good.
Also, my link is broken 'cuz I'm no good at computering.....but I think you guys can figure it out. And I will post the edit here with its real song and title after the weekend.
stupid pond

large park is closed until monday.......good thing it's gonna be cold as fuck on saturday, hahahahaha, jokes on you Bolton
but on the good news side of thing: we will have a hike only jib park at the top of butters for the weekend (we are moving the DFD rail up there today!) and on sunday the step-down will get a re-shape for the last week. and we may try and do something in the flat spot the rainbow table used to be.

id like to infact point out that you are wrong. Low on Friday night is 15 and high on Saturday is 31...doesnt sound like its gonn be too cold to me.

lol....cold for a dip in the joey pond....numb nuts
and the forecast I see is a high of 23, with a chance of light snow in the am.........check weather.com OR noaa
