Yo Josh- i like your idea about the triple line. that sounds awesome.
also, if you're ever hitting up the bc let me know- there's a lot of stuff out there that i've always wanted to explore but never found people willing to do it
look for me on the mountain- yellow/brown striped jacket, brown pants

Get on it

Oh wow. That looks beautiful, nicely composed pic.
I am going to get my pass picture taken tonight and then going to skin timberline. I can't wait.

Who's going to be up tomorrow? I'll have my blue saga jacket with some yellow pants. Going up around 3

3:30 buddy. It takes more than 0 minutes to get BV from School

I'll be with this guy and wearing Orage Shaper and black pants. If you're up, say hey

Hey guys, I got some bad news.....there will be no features set up tomorrow. We do have the two "baby" boxes and rails ready to set up, but are still waiting for approval. I know it sucks, trust me, this afternoon I was pissed; but we are trying to do things right this year and it involves a lot more than just deciding to put up a rail (just a lot more in general). This being said, I think it will be worth it to have features fixed and set up properly before they go on the hill.Thanks/Sorry
I also wanted to say thanks to Josh for posting his ideas in an incredibly well laid out and easy to understand way. We also broke out the designs SPT did for us a few years ago.....and we are trying to find a way to make a triple line work (space and our double fall line in the park make it tough). If any of you guys have been to Breck or Keystone, I would like to do something the size or their medium triple lines.
See you guys tomorrow. I'll be skiing in the morning (black pants/black saga vest, blue sleeves) and hopefully working at night (I gots a name tag so it's easy).
-Nick

Well that too. I'm having trouble finding a head lamp... I know I have a few... Oh well, worst case scenario we'll just pick some up on the way there.

I may be looking to make a gorilla style tree jib/bonk/stunt maker if I'm not working on getting real stuff set up by the afternoon.

Thanks Dude. It was beautiful today. Wind blown up top but no big deal. It was well worth getting up at 6am before classes for. See you guys this season.

Ill be there bright and early tomorrow guys so come and find me if you are going to be around. Blue Fari jacket, black pants, bern lid and scratch BCs. Im not hard to spot since im 5'2

ouch, i dislocated my shoulder the last day in spring at bolton.

I have work untill friday, anything gonna be set-up for then?

Hello.
Oh wow, if you really did a triple line I'd be so flattered. Well, I am sure it wouldn't be just because of my request but nonetheless it would be cool. You are welcome, I was totally psyched to chime in with my $0.02.
Great Opening Day on Friday, and we all found some decent powder.
I look forward to getting the parks open and riding with all of you, but I know and understand Mt. Management has priorities. I am sure there making their moves cautiously while we understand effect of this weeks weather event.
Thanks Nick.
Josh

Hey guys, just got home from the mtn. It's pretty washed out from last night, but it has started snowing again. As soon as the temp drops to about 25 up here the guns will go back on and will start to blow in the general vicinity of the jungle jarb, which is nice. So after a day or two of blowing, there should be enough to start building and we should still have a park open by friday (I hope or I will go insane and move out west immediately). The set up will start out basically the same as it ended last spring...minus the DFD box at the start....and with a real mini-table in the middle and a barrel bonk at the end.
@Ken, it was super nice to meet you, thanks for stopping by the office. Next time we'll take runs.@the rest of you, get at me!

Good to know, I think I'll go up Friday to see the setup.

We tried to find you last Friday night but couldn't, maybe this week.

Ya nick it was nice meeting you too. I ended up peacing out early because I was getting nagged about not working etc and then I effed my knee royally doing stupid shit when they opened VT 200. Im leaving for break on Thursday, so I wont be around till after break, but I certainly look forward to taking some run with you guys and shredding the park.

Any word on weather it'll open on Friday? I'm writing an article for a class and would love to "cover" the event of the jungle jib opening so if it happens Friday that would be awesome.

I truly hope so, but I just don't know....All we can do is praise Jah in hopes he will smile upon us.Peace be da journey,One Love.

Please have it open at some point. I have a meeting with vsac at 10am but i will be up after that.

Maroon jacket, denim pants, bern lid, and old ass invaders

So yeah, I don't even know where to begin.....The snowmakers broke something and the jungle jib cannot have any more snow blown on it at the moment. We will build something tomorrow, most likely a box or two and the 'baby' features. But my guess is we will not open until saturday...sorry.Stop by and say hi, I will be working from 12-8........but do not cut the rope....and do not come if there is a cat pushing snow (we are working with the head groomer tomorrow and he WILL pull a pass).-Nick

It's fine....it changed to snow super fast and then snowed like 6+ inches. The stuff of Swing on Wilderness was closed today, but other than that there is still great snow (just not quite as much).

Jungle Jib will open tomorrow morning! We a have a few finishing touches to put on and should have it open by 930 or 10 at the latest. Snow was a huge issue so the set up is different than what we had planned for.....the left line is two baby black rails (one gap on and one street style), the right line is a culvert tap/bonk thing and then the butter box, the center line is the 22ft flat box and a barrel bonk (super sick).Im sleepy so you guys tomorrow!

so i was up there todaywho has the green honda cr-v with the ns sticker in the parking lot this afternoon?

blerrggg on the flat box it will be destroyed. everything else looks cool. my biggest issue is is those two rails. they are nonsense waste of time features. why have two of the same thing when both are 5 feet long? could have set up the dfd instead.

more pictures.

My biggest issue is that you probably didn't read my....or allison's explanation.....the snowmakers broke the pump at the bottom of the jungle jarb.....those black rails were chosen because there is like 3-6 inches of snow up top. The only place to put a real feature was on the one mound of snow that was blown.....so if you care to look, the only feature that we could burry is the one box (all the others basically sit on top of the snow). And as for the DFD, I have other plans for that. Also, we will rebuild with more features after we can get the pump fixed.

i def. go to bolton for the trees and out of bounds terrain more than the park. I know you guys do what you can but I always find myself shredding the trees as much as possible. Some pretty sweet turns on Wilderness trails today plus we hiked up to solitude and that was pretty epic freshies.

i wanted to do this on sunday, but due to limited time and the snow guns we decided not to. sounds fun
also, nick, i appreciate what you have done so far with the limited resources. we will be heading up tomorrow, hope to see you up there. super stoked as always.ps, meases pieces will be coming, you can battle it out there lol

So true. I went on Sunday and found myself only skiing woods. There are some great cliffs and mini-booters for when more snow arrives

Going up tomorrow night. Orage Shaper, black snowpants; if you see me say hey

FINISH HIM!

I'm excited for tomorrow. Looks like you guys have done a great job with what you've got. It would be cool if you set up the long culvert as a rail *hint hint*.

No, no, no.....no hate towards meases peaces.....his name just makes me want peanut butter and chocolate. And also, how could i hate on the kid that set up all of our little features this fall! (he got me hired like three days sooner to go clean that stuff up!)Also, we will be playing around with some stuff....maybe a pole jam over the culvert.....maybe something else....I will be working from 12-8 stop by if you have an idea (that doesn't involve a ton of snow to bury something)And we are working on adding some natural type features in the enchanted forest. There is one sick hit already (a rock bonk) and we plan on building at least one more jump type feature.....and maybe (if we can find it) a nice log jib/slide. -Nick
