Bolton Valley?

parks crap...they really havent even started blowing for the big park...mini park has a butterbox, rainbow box, up flat up box, and a really small handrail thats madd wierd ubran style...jumps onto the rainbow and up flat up box are maddd shitty and way to small so u cant spin on...theyve really gotta get someone up there to build the park like they did a few years ago

Its a flat up flat, that and the rainbow are fun and mellow. They have been blowing snow for the big park all week so it should definatly be open next week. But they just got over 2 ft of snow and its all families there so no one is in the woods

Went up yesterday night, it was pretty fun. Vista lift is closed.

the park will be open tomorow...from what i saw theyve got two jumpes and prolly a stepdown where it usually is...the jumps have fuckin pop, i mean straight up wutang curvature off the lips which i personally hate...pretty much looks like last years setup which is stupid cause i like when its changed up...they had the rainbow box up top then at the bottom they had the dfd rail next to a downrail and then a short flat to longer down...thats all i could see

I went last night (1/16/10).

On the "Big" line starts out with either an up-down or a battleship.

Then the him and her.

Then a pretty big hip

the either a dfd or a down rail

finally a short flat to down rail

On the "medium" park

small roller or a short flat box

little jump short flat box

small jump (bigger then the others on this side) or a small flat rail

jungle jib hasn't changed

The park today was fun.The right side landing on the hip is awesome but you have to get a lot of speed for it to really matter.Rails are fun and so was the jib park.

I was there monday and tuesday and there was no speed for the top 2 rails, then you had to bomb the jump just to clear the knuckle

According to the "Terrain Park Blog," apparently Bolton will hopefully have their park at Timberline next year.
Heres what Allison (the park crew manager) said:
"We didn't want to spread any rumors this year,(good thing we didn't either because of the late seasonal start) but Harold and I discussed putting a jump line over at Timberline this year. It was in the plans before we realized mother nature (MN) was going to take her sweet time with the snow. Hopefully we will achieve our goal next year."
It would be really sick if Bolton stepped up and made their park legit and made a long jump line and a nice long jib line. Hopefully it will be on twice as nice.

That would be real nice. I remember going up the timberline lift early season and they had been blowing snow so there was huge mounds under the lift and i thought. Hey this would be sick place for a jump line. You could hit woods then park, or just get off the mid way point.

park sounds pretty fun. im gonna be up this comming weekend. any other mountains that are less than 1 hour from bolton?

Are you staying at Bolton? From Bolton, MRG and Sugarbush are probably 40-45 minutes away, and Stowe is probably about the same distance in the other direction, time-wise.

I am sorry to say it, but unless someone like Burton invests money in the park like they did two years ago, then they will never have enough money to make it actually legit.

commonwealth. im gonna be staying at my aunts she lives 30mins from bolton. im deff gonna have to head up to stowe

Boltons just not worth it this season, if you want a sick park Stowe and Bush are both within 30 mins of Bolton.

Stowe has an incredibly well rounded park, and SugarBush has more jibs then you will know what to do with and they are all set up so nice.

Honestly, your better off at either of those mountains then you are at Bolton.

Hopefully they can get it going better next year.

I havnt been to sugarbush yet this year and there is no way Bolton could ever compare to Stowe, but i was at bolton yesterday and it was warm and sunny and the parks were lots of fun. I think everything is set up nicley. Its not huge and there isnt a lot of features but what is there is set up well.

Lets be honest Bolton wont have a banger park unless someone like Burton really comes in and takes over and they make that part of their business strategy. Right now they do well enough with families and lessons. I was riding a lift with a longtime instructor and he said they are most likly going to turn a profit this year!! I think thats huge for a place that has closed twice in the last like 10 years.

pretty sick picture. I was there today and I couldn't get enough speed for the first jumps. The jumps have terrible speed issues this year. I hope there park gets better next year or else I'm done with Bolton.

Last tuesday they were perfect, it snowed about 4" in the morning and by the time i got there they had all been raked out and were super smooth. But i agree they have to change up something. I like the idea of having the park over at timberline, the weather always seems nicer over there. And at least it would be a change in scenery, the park has been set up almost exactly the same for the last 6 years

Moving the park to timberline might be the only thing that will keep me at Bolton. Today, I bombed the entire run in and still knuckled it. hopefully the problem is my skis, they haven't been waxed in a long time. I do have to say that the jumps are a lot bigger than they were last year.

Both of my friends (non-park skiers) hit the jump for the first time in their lives yesterday. They started from just below the rails, and both cleared it.

While I agree that the park has speed issues, I'd definitely say your skis are the culprit on this one.

The barrel stall is real sick. It almost like a qp with barrells along the top and a landing on the back side. they also set up the green sobe up rail, but they set it up flat with a major drop off at the end. It was real fun monday

c box at the bottom was so sticky a few days ago. I would get on and my skis would just straight stop, I do not recommend trying it haha

the new jungle jib setp up is sooo sick. dfd with 2 dif takeoffs, then the option of flat rail/barrel bonk/rainbow box all with legit takeoffs. The flat box is awesome for spins and there is a pretty big gap onto the rainbow. At the end they have the dance floor set up on its side, kindof like a take off for a spine. its all set up soo well, love it!!

not sure if these are the ones you wanted but here are some new pics. The new jib park look sooo nice. pics:

big park still has major speed issues if there is any wind. dont speed check for the boxes up top. then stop at the mound, skate, then tuck into the smaller take off of the jump and you had perfect speed to land a bit past the knuckle.
