So to make sure this thing doesn't become a "You said you bring this, but I thought they were bring this, but actually nobody brings anything" ordeal, everyone post something they are going to bring and actually bring that thing

True story. It's looking like the 4inch 20foot tube, the DFD rail, and whatever else people are willing to carry......maybe the trap or rainbow box.

so i'm going to come in here as the total random and ask about stuff. only had 8 or so days at bolton this year, but in between wilderness and vista peaks there is that ridge and it looks like there could be some nice lines in between there if you hike a bit. anyone know anything?

i know with all the xc trails and other trails around the area it's nice for some backcountry woods. just lookin for some answers. i've probably seen half you this year and didn't even know it.

The peak is called Ricker (sp?) and there is some good stuff up there......the one shoot that everyone asks about (yes, its super fun on a good day and a good snow year) and then there are two or three hand cut glades that have real pitch. Basically, the sidecountry around Bolton has way more terrain to offer than the lifts. So yeah, it's worth exploring up there from both vista and wilderness sides.

thanks man i'l get to some exploring. just debating if it's skiable with a friend. don't want todo any hiking then run into a wall of trees on some super steep pitch.

I'l scope it out hope and hope we get a pretty sick winter.

the hike is really easy. there's a road up on the vista side that starts on the skier's right side of Vista Glades, which you've probably seen, it's pretty obvious. There's a snowshoe trail up the wilderness side, but there's really no reason to go up that way unless you just want to check it out.

Nick's right about bolton woods. super fun and way more than meets the eye of a casual observer. There's a lot of fun stuff up there, and it's really easy to get up and explore in the summer because nothing is all that far from the base.

Patience is a virtue young Cray. It's on its way and will be well worth the wait. Hoping to finish tomorrow.
