Bohemia is tough to get to. Let's make it easier (and cheaper) on ourselves and share the road together.

Are people interested in keeping this thread going to let people know who's going up to the Keweenaw, when, for how long, and how many they can take? I think it's definitely worth it.

Forreal...this storm hitting them right now is just puking all over the U.P. Their FB page says they will still need a little more, but that could fall overnight at some point.

Also, I'd be interested in exploring the Huron Mountains up there. Anyone know anything about them? Or the Huron Mountain Club? All I know is that most of the land was never developed because a lot of it is private and sits with old mining and auto-maker heritages. It is however, home to the highest points in the U.P and judging by some elevation maps I've seen, could have some sick terrain. I feel like that would be a sick edit...I mean, no one's ever talked about it in my eyes. Who knows what could be there.

have fam in that area and mostly been out that way in the summer. Was privileged enough to rip mountain lake on a sled once and not get caught with a local sledneck who knew the area well. That lake has terrain around it that if it wasn't private could be a national park. Super cool area, but a lot of the best areas are private property and they are pretty serious about it being private (guards, gates, motion cams on popular access points...). It's also pretty far off the beaten path and you need a sled/area knowledge in the winter to access the maze of 2-tracks and logging roads, though with the mine you can get to it from big bay side "easier" now. A lot of the stuff I've seen is pretty thick because its been logged in somewhat recent past but some of the old growth areas are possible. In general its a lot of work to access in winter for limited vert. Always turned my attention to hills without lifts in Porkies and Keweenaw for winter walkabouts.
