BOGUS OPENS THURSDAY!!!

Yay earlier than i had posted!

Skipping my family feast to enjoy some fresh snow. I'll be feasting in snow.

We know this. Who will be there.

I will be there fucking around with lots of food. What candy do people like, I'm thinking bout bring Swedish Fish

i recently took some skis to eco lounge for repair. a pair of

pipecleaners i bought on here just to be mounted and my pimps because

the base near the nose was delamming. i talked with the shop guy and

some kid about how they would repair them for about a half an hour going over every specific because with the two in there i felt it was needed just for my sake of trusting them to know what they were doing, all was good. shop guy said

he would cut a section out of the base where it was delamming and

replace with base material so it would prevent further delamination. the

mount/repair was 65$ in total. i paid right there when i dropped them off. when i picked them

up just now i found that he did not do any of the repair at all but

simply ground down my edge and base (not even smooth there were still

marks from the grinder which is how i know) and asked him about it in

front of a few customers as to why he did not make the repair i paid for

and he said that is where my ski hit the rail and its permanently

damaged. well now my edge about 8 in from the nose is ground down beyond

sharpening or repair, the base is now about 1mm thick and its

delamming even more. the best part is when this was over and i was

leaving after he said he couldnt help me out he said i still had to pay, and the ticket i originally filled said 55$ not 65$?(i never saw the price on the ticket the first time)

which i paid the first time so someone pocketed 10$. i told him this and

he said 'sorry i have to help another customer" so now my atomic pimps

are ruined and some guy has my 10 bucks /rant

learned my lesson with eco lounge. greenwoods may be more pricey in terms of repairs but they dont ruin your skis and if they do, they at least attempt to fix it and come to terms with the customer

damn thats bullshit, try to get the owner involved unless it was him that you dealt with. Say you will go to the better business bureau. When greenwoods fucked up on my skis i went in there like 7 months later, the problem was already fixed and my skis mounted where i originally wanted as well as being tuned, and the guy was just like sorry we fucked up how can we make it right. and then i got two more pairs of my skis mounted for free which is like a 60 dollar value

thats so shitty about eco tho, those guys seem like douchebags, it seems like theyd try to please every customer because no one goes there

exactly, and now i know why. when i went in the first time they trash talked greenwoods and mcus so much for 'not knowing shit about the ski business'

I went to the eco lounge in meridian. Had a completely opposite experience. I needed to get my skis mounted he did it in a day and had my skis the next day. And it was a lot cheaper than green wood or mcu. I don't know how they are with repairs but they did a good job mounting. Ran a gummi stone and detuned my edges for 25.

i just go to eco lounge cus you can hand the guy $20 bill and get your skis mounted....greenwoods and mccues are like $60 so when your a college student thats a big difference....but for repairs and tunes I'll prob spend a little more and go to the other shops...

Also, im bummed I'll be missing opening day since Im back here in cali....last two years I've been there so it sucks I cant make opening day for 3 years in a row. Cant really complain since Ive been shredding deep pow in Tahoe the last few days, but im real excited to get back on the hill in Boise. Its gonna be such a fun filled winter!

That sucks. Seriously just go to greenwoods, been going there since I was like 10 and they've never screwed up anything vie brought in. Last year they even gave me a new brake after I bought bindings online and they sent me the wrong size.

i think its only like 25 or 30 at gw i think which is worth it because they fix it when they make mistakes

I have always had shitty experiences at eco.. they always seem to treat their customers like shit. imo, i would think they would be as respectful to their customers as possible since they don't get NEARLY as much business as Greenwoods and McU's. I just started givin some business at McU's and bought my newest pair of skis there, and they seem to treat their customers really well (me at least). Other than this purchase, Greenwoods gets ALL my business. Great people in there, and seem to know there shit. My parents and the employees at greenwoods know eachother pretty well, so it's always nice to walk in and all of them be like "Hey Taylor!" It's just nice when small business's with a large amount of customers will just know your name off the top of their head.

Just an fyi, Riley is in town, the guy from greenwoods that moved to Armada. Such a nice guy. had a good chat with him while i was there.

might ima go see riley when i get my skis back from gw, good guy

people at mcu's have always seemed like douches who dont know shit about anything to me....

yea, they probably just figured they'd get to know me…but that will probably be the last time i walk in there. They have nothing at all that is worth buying.. I'd say mcu's is definitely more "racer" oriented as opposed to gw. gw>mcu's
