Bogus=jib only park?

I thought I recalled that sometime in the past Bogus became a rail/box only park. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I just moved back to town and am trying to figure out what how the park scene looks locally.

Ever since they got the Mountain Dew sponsorship, they were able to make more box and rail features. This is a good thing though, Bogus has never been good a making jumps. The park crew is never given enough room to make good jumps.

Ya bogus sucks. They used to make a good booter with a nice clean lip, but only a 15 foot gap. You would clear the landing everytime if you had any speed and would end up eating your knees. They have a few decent Jib boxes and rails. I gave one of the park crew a ride up the mountain and he was telling me about all the extra funding for rails they built, but liability limits their kickers.

bogus currently has 3 of the scariest, most terribly built jumps i've ever hit.

they've never been able to build a decent jump, so they might as well go jib-only

Ya I actually havent been up there in about 2-3 years. Not since I graduated BSU. I used to hit that place about 50-75 times a year. Cant beat that college pass deal. To be honest though, its probably the worst mountain ive ever been on. Brundage in McCall was amazing on a good snow day. Lots of backcounty stuff that required very little hinking and was ski out.

id you ever hit Tamarack before is went under?

lol not what I wanted to hear but at least they have rails I suppose. I'm getting my pass in Feb so I have it for next year as well and was trying to see how the park was looking currently. how many features do they actually have?

When I was there, they had a battle ship rail, c box, flat down rail, straight box with about 5 foot drop at end, down hill double barrel, picnic table box, mail box and two real small kickers. There might have been a couple smaller box/rails too

Bogus park crew is all snow boarders with 2 skiers and all the lips are tiny as fuck and on top of that half the rails are just sitting down at the bottom of mambo meadows

glad to see all that money from albertsons and mountain dew went to a good cause.

bogus fucking sucks if you take it seriously. i've learned to laugh at all the stupid shit they do, makes it a lot easier to just have a fun day skiing. bring a 6er up and stash it at the pit, shred wildcat most of the day, hike upper cornpatch a few times. when the weather is good there's actually not much reason to ever go to the park
