Bogus Basin Park-- What do you want

So I just moved to Boise and this is my first year skiing up at Bogus. I have heard quite poor things about their park and it looks like all the rumors are true.

Lets get a big thread going about what we want to see in the park and then copy and email it the people in charge up there. Hopefully we can start seeing some changes and get a good park with jumps and good rails, not separate, but a run where you can hit both of them.

Post what kind of jumps, where they could be placed, what runs and what rails we want. Once it gets big enough I will email it to them. Kind of like a big suggestion box.

regionals. believe it or not, the idaho regionals are very active. and everyone there hates bogus too.
sorry to burst your bubble, but even if bogus wanted to make changes they don't have enough money to do anything about it

Go ski Park City. That is what Bogus should have.

Small Park:

8 smaller 10' rails, 4 10' gaps

Medium Park:

8 - 20ft rails, 4 - 20-25' Gaps

Large Park:

8 - 20-40ft rails, Gaps: 30ft-40ft-40ft-50ft.

To be legit Bogus needs to at least get some jumps in the 30ft tabletop range. Really a 40ft to host a serious competition. Rails are cheap and you can get some motivated kids to weld up some badass rails for you.

set up all the features you havee. lengthen it. less ride ons. and bigger jumps...but it is alot better this year then ive ever seen it before

What they should do is move it to a steeper run than the one under quad. Maybe take over alpine, or that run at the very end of the cat track skiers right of morning star as you get off. Or have the baby park under the quad, then a pro park ocer on pine creek somewhere.

Or they should just stop trying and leave it up to the pros.

Get a bunch of newschoolers and do it for yourselves? With the hill's permission of course. Charity work for a good cause right.

that's actually not a bad idea.
i could see them shooting us down for some random legal reason or something like that, but it's worth a shot

hate to shit on this but nothing will happen. plans have been made to have ryan neptune design an 'all mountain" park starting next year much like alpine meadows has. i have family in upper management there and at every family dinner and event i try to do my best to convince them to change the mountains ways in regards to terrain and a park. the way bogus is looking at the situation is that 7% of their annual users are park riders/people that would ride park, so unfortuntaley as a non-profit organization their goal and focus is to please their 26000 season pass holders and not the few park riders.

hey guys. the whole problem is snow. bogus doesn't have enough and can't get water rights for their snow mechines.
Bogus should go back to their old system. a small and big jump with the same landing strip. also they should move their park to the ridge you get dumped on after the rail park and go to the right. that whole run could be a nice park run and they could push snow from the runs connecting to it and the bowl instead of just the bowl. BOGUS BASIN SUCKS RIGHT NOW BUT WE CAN CHANGE THAT, JUST KEEP POSTING STUFF LIKE THIS AND WE WILL BE SET!
