Bodywork on my car

my car has some rust on it... It wont pass inspection until I fix it. Here's a picture of the rust:

suggestions to fix this? possible to do the job by myself?

after the obvious sandpaper i'm planning on

1. using insulation foam

2. after it dries, I'll grind it down to fit the body of the car

3. apply that bodyfiller

4. paint

Make sure to completely sand the rust away or else it will come back.

they are a shit load of fun, but they are heavy as fuck....

LOL to the kid who suggested bodyfiller and sandpaper.

I see fucking holes in that thing.

You need to cut out the rusted panel, and weld another one into its place, thats the only RIGHT way to do it. No amount of bondo is going to fix that.

ok, thanks for actually looking at the picture.

i had thought of the bodyfiller, but once i started taking shit off and scraping everything i noticed that I took the whole peice itself out, so yes... i will need to weld it on.

Now i'm looking at welding machines on ebay, or I'll use my friends' machine. I'll post a pic of my results
