haha in the "extreme skiing" thread all the freeskiers are making fun of the racers and the racers are being little bitches about it.
 
Bode is the man. He races, but he is so completely abnormal in his style fo skiing, and unorthodox, and it's nice to see him kick the other racers asses when they have been taught that there is only one way to race.

And he's from my are and I love to root for the hometown heros.

While he grew up in a house with no electiricity or running water, he mostly grew up running around in the 500 acres of forest taht surrounded it. As a boy, Bode divided the year into two seasons: jacket and no jacket. "No Jacket" was longer for Bode than it is for most people.

bode shreads. i dont really like him after tanner and his battle tho. you cant connect racing and parkskiing.. they are not the same thing, no one can say someone is bad at one thing because they cannot do the other.
 
that crap that tanner said about Bode is bullshit, racing takes a lot of work, especially telling coaches to fuck off about your style for years. I dont think tanner is that cool, He seems like a deuchebag
 
I don't remember exactly, but tanner in all his genious, made a comment about Bode being only able to ski down the hill between gates, and how He (tanner) could ski many different things, and was therefore a better skier, and then there was some debate about it or something...

not that it's any of your business, but Bode actually took a pay cut to be with his current ski sponsor.
 
i used to like him, but i began reading his book and he's just SOO WEIRD! like some of the stuff he says just i dono he's just weird, and too cocky!

But it doesnt stop there, I make skiing a living. Every single jobs I have had ever since I was in the age of working surrounded the sport. It still aint it, skiing defines me, its how I think, how I act and how I plan on earning my life.

Let me tell you something you lil asshat, i dont give a shit of what you have to say about how I make freeskiing looks, if you dont like it, then you better get back to field hockey and get your ass beat up by your lil sister, who by the way is just fine. Now I really hope you get that message, and post something with more consistence than that last post of yours.
 
It actually is my business, you ass. Bode made the jump from Rossi to Atomic for money issues, and trust me man, I get these infos from WAY high up the industry.

My point here is that you dont shit about who I am, who I know and who Ive worked for, so use a lil care when you adress a stranger.
 
in tanner vs. bode tanner was out of line in the first place but then bode came back and tried to rip tanner apart. if i remember correctly he said that he thought that park skiing sucked because all it is is the same thing over and over again, which perfectly describes racing in my opinion. i raced from the time i started skiing up until a few years ago when i started riding park and we can all agree that park skiing has way more originality and variety than racing.

As for my life story, Im glad it caught your attention, but I was just responding to you stating that I give the sport a bad name. And as far as maturity goes, I think im pretty up to it, thank you for trying to help me with that.
 
I think you make a good point there. However, thats exactly what annoys me with Bode Miller... skiing is a business.

I know that Bode is an awesome skier. Ive seen footage of him when he was still on Rossi... They organised a trip to AK so he could shred some good powder, which he did like a pro.

What Im trying to say is that there is so much for Bode as far as the money goes. He doesnt have any loyalty for his sponsors, who have contributed in a mountain of ways to bring him atop. I guess that really is my problem with the guy.. take Eric Gay, or Geneviève Simard, or Grandi.. do you think they make good money?? theyre in the competition with sponsors that they consider as families, not business partner... I hope you get my point.
 
Word, I guess youre right on your point. Its a good thing that you can stand for your own opinions... I respect that.

But I still hope that Bode get his ass kicked by Grandi at the olympics this winter :P!
 
Explain to me why its any of your business how much money someone else makes. I don't care who the fuck you are, or who's dick your sucking in the industry. Seriously, if you really were as cool as you think you are, would you have to come onto NS to brag about it?

back to the point though, bode was the best ski racer on the planet last year, no doubt. He's kicking ass this year, too. The simple fact is that ski racing is way more popular and visible than freesking, especially in Europe. Therefore, theres going to be alot more cash involved for obvious reasons. If being the best in the world and making bank in the process equal selling out, how the fuck do you win?

As far as who I am, whos dick ive been through and how many times Ive got down with your mom, I understand that you might not care much, but I was actually trying to explain you how involved i was in the sport, and how the information you were giving me was actually affecting me.
