Its offical Bode Miller is on Atomic, i heard a rumor that he might be before, this might have been out for awhile but i only found out today. Any one know what he is being payed? it must be a lot considering what Rossi was giving him

Maybe its just that Atomic makes kick ass skis, super high quality. Or maybe its just a fat paycheck. But it's probably both.

lol when you ski at that level every company will make you amazing skis, all his skis are custom made and nothing like you can find an a shop rack, the only thing that makes thim look simaler is the top sheet, its diffently a money reason he would switching or he had troubles dealing with Rossi

I think a good part of it was that Atomic puts a lot of guys on the podium. I know it's mostly the athlete, but look at how many guys are winning on Atomics. They make some sick skis.

Dynastar? are you joking? when was dynastar last on the world cup podium? Dynastar race skis are in a bit of a slump, a barely ever see Dynastar on the FIS race circuit these days

btw... when bode was skiing for rossi, he was skiing on dynastars with rossi graphics. they are the same company people. but yea, he is kinda a sellout, switchin from company to company to make money. i don't blaim him, i would look for the big bucks too, but rossi paid him a lot to leave fischer and they did a lot for him and he just goes and leaves em for the bigger payout.

well Bakerboy its funny cause the only reason i found out was because of Freeskier magazine's online newsletter, maybe newschoolers are interested, its good to know whats going on, on both sides. AND Bode would out ski you of the race course anyday

i think Bode got a million dollar contract with Rossi last year and that doesnt include his other sponsers, but in ski racing your only really making money when your atleast in the top 30 in the world

His final decision was between Nordica and Atomic. He went with Atomic because they have a much larger race department/budget than Nordica has. From all pictures I have seen of his new race boot, it is basically just a Dobermann painted red. Looks exactly the same. Whether its the same boot or not, only time will tell. But it wouldn;t be that surprising seeing how they are simply painting a Look Binding red and putting their name on it next yeat.

And as far as Dynastar race skis being better than Rossi's and vice versa, have any of you ever bothered to compare the two? They are basically the same exact skis.

 
Bode is the man, I love his style of racing how he leans back so far. Reminds me of how I ski, although hes 100x better than me. haha o well. And if you had the oppurtunity to get million dollar contracts every year im sure you would too.

whoever said that the dynastars and the rossi race skis ski the same clearly hasn't rode both skis in a course cause they are VERY different. yes, race skis all ski similar but with rossi they try to go with a softer flex and less cut where as the dynastars are more stiff with a bigger cut. this simple change makes these skis ride considerably different. and the reason why the new bode boots for atomic look like dobermans is because bode uses the dobermans. even while he was with fischer and rossi, he always rode wearing the dobermans.
