Idk about u guys but that trick/POV shot looked like it could definitely be a quad

He did a triple backflip, it's pretty obvious, you're reaching.

look at the POV shot, after the third flip he easily has enough room for the fourth flip. Either that or he over rotated it to his back.

Actually, I think this could be a landmark movie, how many other current top-level big air skiers have crossed over into backcountry seriously... but how is his pow spine mastery?

Bobby can absolutely shred the entire mountain, and he will only continue to push the boundaries of the sport. Hyped on this film!

This is gonna be the Nutella to my anus, the shaving cream between my toes and the harembe to my exposed penis. After Adam landed that triple back I was pushin a 90%er. i may not even be able to finish this post because I'm about to shfjoxgxusjbxbxx......

Typo

That step down sw dub 9 was CRaZy! Stoked to see that talented of a skier gravitate away from the comp scene. Big things will come from his non competitive career

dont get me wrong this film looks dope... with that being said i miss when the films were about a group of homies having constant fun in the mountains an streets

Hoping more comp guys crossover to BC like tanner and sammy, look at what they've done so far.

Granted, those guys grew up in areas more conducive to BC than summit county

They all have/do/will. Unless they fade away or their bodies break. If you were a top level park skier and couldn't keep up with the young kids anymore but still very much physically able to ski - why the fuck wouldn't you take your knowledge and sponsor backing into the backcountry. It's literally been how it works since the beginning of "freeskiing".

A lot of fantastic park and comp skiers never went to the backcountry. Like Olsson or Hatveit.

Well.... I got no rebuttal to that one. Olsson went back to racing (who saw that one coming?!?) and Andreas is one of the very few who retired on top. Man, I was so wanting him to get a medal in Russia. One of my favourite moments of those Olympics was when he was waiting for his score after his last run and was so happy and saying "they're actually thinking about [giving me a medal]"

You're right, I guess I was thinking about the guys that have stayed on the very top of the comp scene a while. Maybe the current-ish guys aren't old enough yet, but sammy and tanner are the only ones that sat at the very top of park and went to the very top of powder.

Not including candide in this one, bc he's his own category.

Cant help thinking when watching this, Bobby Brown is trying to become the Travis Rice of skiing.

How?

I don't understand this assumption at all?

Travis slays some of the gnarliest big mountain lines of anyone, one or two planks. Bobby is an incredible jump skier, but go watch this trailer vs. the trailer for any of Travis's movies. They aren't skiing the same kind of terrain at all. There are tons of people going out and doing huge spins on booters, maybe Bobby is the best at that, maybe not, but it's nowhere near the same thing as Travis's big lines and spins off huge natural features.

I was thinking more Travis Rice 2007. Not Travis Rice now.

When Thats It Thats All came out and at the same point, Travis was winning big air comps with triples.

Ah, that makes more sense!

I dunno, it will be interesting to watch, but even just contrasting this with That's It That's All, I think Travis was much more well rounded than Bobby at that point.

But I'm just a nerd on a laptop in Idaho.

Don't think I've ever seen Travis land a triple

Needs more pillow lines. I couldn't care less about 7 minutes of just jumps. GIMMIE THE PILLOWS!!!!

yeah i could be wrong but i don't think ive ever seen travis do a triple (though he hasn't released a movie in years so maybe 4th phase has one/some, no idea)

i can say with confidence that he def wasnt winning comps with trips around the time of TITA. he comes insanely close to landing a dope trip in TITA in the BC but i think "that's it"

Have you seen 1242? or Teddy Bear Crisis.. Or do you know the fact that Jon Olsson won the Scandinavian Freeride championships ?? Jon shreds the BC!!

and Hatveit is 33 and his SLVSH trick edit last winter proves he could go back to X-games tomoz and probably get top 3 if he wanted to.

Those dudes aren't finished they just moved on to other life shit.. Casue once youve won every event and filmed 10 video segments to the highest level whats next?

Even Candide is moving onto bigger things.. and he's the best skier in the world to this day bar no one.

Hatveit is only recently 30. Your point stands though. He did get out a bit earlier than I wanted him to, kind of like Sammy (and Dumont, guess I just can't let go)
