one of the best edits of the film season, calling it now. only ten minutes long and it's better than all of Ruin and Rose (much like my sexual performance, hey-oh!)

Really glad I'm not the only one.

It's great, but I couldn't help wishing they had actually skied some more lines. They were in incredible areas, and booters are cool, but I'd have loved to see some more variety.
 
Banks little segment got me so pumped for his new AIT project, switch landings were hyphy.

A line or two would've been dope but overall such a sick project. Clean editing and Bobby making it look effortless as usual
 
Tmw it has the same amount of bangers as the fourth phase. but really sick. loved how it was 90% skiing, 10% filler / story

Redbull MediaHouse needs to make a film with skiing and boarding. Bobby and Travis together would be so sick.
 
Get's better every time I watch it... Banks stomped the shit out of those switch landings! Everything was sent huge and super rad but the shot at 8:04 was my favorite!

Travis and Candide man. Two of the biggest and heaviest hitters in both sports.
 
SO sick. Certainly not a "pow" edit as some people are calling it though... Nonetheless, probably my favorite thing Bobby's put out.

It's cool to see guys that once were 100% competition focused like him and Geopper start to do projects like this. Gives them more respect as a skier as a whole rather than just a park competitor.

Why is everyone calling this the best pow edit? There's really next to zero lines to speak of. For me this was a dope bc booter edit. For me at least, bc jump shots off of built takeoffs gets pretty monotonous fast.

Just surprised to see people calling this the best pow edit when the only pow shots are basically b roll between jump shots.

i mean, yeah, colloquially i guess it's fair to say that when we say "pow edit" we mean skiing lines. but this is an edit...filmed in pow...so...ya know

Really? I could watch BC booters all day long. It's a nice halfway point between park and BC.

LOVED Banks' switch landings. Very reminiscent of Charlie Ager's older segments or the OG Nimbus films. Nothing sicker than switch landings in powder.

It's adidas if my memory serves me correctly (he was wearing it at changes last year). Not sure how that works with his UA sponsorship tho

Couldn't agree more about banks though. It's interesting though to me that you're using banks, ager, and nimbus as the examples in what you like because I don't think bobby' s edit has much in common with those (banks shots in be water were my favorite by far). I love switch pow landings, I just like them more when someone skis a line first and seems to improvise a cliff and take it to switch off of a downward takeoff or a diving board.

I just don't enjoy watching someone straight line into a huge cheese wedge and let it rip. Or at least, I don't enjoy watching that over and over to the detriment of other kinds of shots. I'll have to re watch be water, maybe I'm not giving it enough credit or I'm misremembering.

Lots of impressive shots in be water, not trying to hate, I'm just surprised how enthusiastic the response is when I feel like the big picture, adventures in transition, Markus eder's self edit, tanner rainville, and the list goes on and on are superior. For my tastes.

i meant at "x-games" not changes

and yeah, its weird because he is also wearing jiberish. i had thought under armour had dropped him, but maybe he is back on their team now... idk

that said, seriously sick edit. I wish Bobby/Peter put out more edits/footage...

i don't like when they let bobby do voiceovers though, it seems like they have him talk incessantly in them about how cool everything is, and frankly in real life yeah that's fine, but i don't need to be told when watching a video that it's cool, i can determine that for myself.

i remember the exact same thing with his old webisode series i couldn't stand it. Just a pet peeve

after watching the Fourth Phase, it seemed like he was trying to do what they did there but from a way less technical perspective causing it to feel forced and fake.

i can't think of a single voiceover in a snow movie that ive liked. there's a reason these geniuses are being paid to ski, not to talk

actually-- ironically, because MSP is usually the worst offenders with corny voiceovers-- the only one that comes to mind that ive liked is in ski movie 3 with candide: "at superpark, when candide started taking the massive hip straight on, everything else just seemed to stop"

Did anyone else notice who edited it??? 3 pretty legendary skiers, in my opinion (Leigh Powis, Cam Riley, & Brady Perron. and Scofield, who's been working for Stept for a long time). I loved seeing that.
 
I liked the video just wanted it to be longer. I'm corny I like the behind the scenes stuff and more dialogue as well.

This. Wouldn't mind seeing Bob move on to more BC stuff and put the comps on hold for a little bit.

Editing and film was so nice

I agree. Cool to see Bobby go that direction. But this looks like the first step in a longer transition to being a backcountry skier. Doesn't look that far removed from what he does on a private park jump.
