Boarders?

I've tried it a couple times but I will always stick with skiing. I have a friend who skis and boards though.

I've been snowboarding a good six years, but i just picked up skiing last season. The crossover in flipping and spinning is almost the same. The only thing i needed to pick-up was balancing on two planks instead of one, which wasn't that hard because i did ski racing as a little kid.

BS Ninjas Represent!

I board a little, it's wicked fun to switch gear with someobody who snowboards and go down the park making complete fools of yourselves, and then switching again and ripping it up the second run. kinda catches people off guard.

and yeah, I'm from boston, I say wicked.

dude, one time, I snorted ketchup off of a pizza. that sucked.

Oh yeah, republicans suck, you right winged conservative bastards, have fun burning in hell!!!!

i teach both skiing and boarding

snowboarding is really easy. I dont see why so many people suck at it. I did it for 1 day and by the end of the day I was linking my turns and I looked as good or better than half the snowboarders on the mountain

I've snowboarded for 3 years but will mostly ski this year. I always think snowboarding looks pretty cool and then when I end up doing it I remember how much it lacks mobility compared to skiing. They're both fun in their own ways and it's good to mix it up every once in a while.

I tried snowboarding once or twice but I just couldn't get the hang of it whereas the very first time I went skiing at like 8 years old I was doing down blacks. Skiing just came natural to me and now after all these years I'm starting to incorporate park into my repertoire.

Been a skier my whole life, tried snowboarding, was carving, doin 1's and 3's in 3 hours. I think when u get good at one the other comes easier than u think. I think both are wayy similar

I love both snowboarding and skiing. I love to ride and also watch. I think you gotta work a bit harder for style in skiing though, I think snowboarding generally looks more badass right off the bat. Like you can do 3's and 5's on a board and it really looks wicked and steezy if you can just remain calm throughout the duration of the spin. Maybe throw in an indy grab which is pretty easy to learn, whereas skiing you kinda gotta work a little harder to get it down. When it comes to landing and stability I think skiers might have some advantage though, like you always see kids fail misserably on the lifts first time snowboarding, while as skiers they have a better shot at mastering it for the first time. That beeing said it really comes down to each individual. Skiing and snowboarding can feed of eachother, and mainly as a skier, I always get stoked and inspired when seeing some of my snowboard buddies throw down.
