First time I ever touched/rode skis was this year and after the first run It's like love at first sight(I've been boarding for 7 years), I knew form the start i wanted to progress already and this past year i've learned how to ride switch,bs,sketchy goofy lookin 3's But friend said I'm gettin it down pretty fast (I dont think theyd know cause they all board) .. Anyways I found these Line 1260(im not sure what year, red with white Line graffiti logo) with pivot jib bindings and I got them for 70 together on craigslist, I thought this was too cheap and there has to be a catch with these skis and bindings ? (no core shots, edges are great) Just seems too good to be true? Is there something i should know about these ski/bindings that i dont know about?

P.S : I will be putting up my Academy board up in Sell/trade if any of u intrested so check it out in a few.

Thanks !!!

They are just really old I think... Don't remember how old those are. They just won't ride as well as a newer ski, ski companies have figured out how to make skis that ride much better than old twin tips, which were mostly strange, soft, dead, with somewhat awkward shapes. They will be fine for you for a while, but as you get better you'll likely want some newer skis.

You know If your planning on committing to skiing you might want to consider waiting and save money up this summer and demo a bunch of skis next winter since season is almost done. Or you might come across someone this summer who Just want get rid of some gear for super cheap.(if you live in ski town)

Then you can see what you like, dont like and if you really want go with a older cheaper setup.

I would recommend getting boots now so your set for next winter in that department.

Yeh I think I saw some 1260s the other day they seemed quite heavy from what I heard there pretty durable but aren't the best at carving, however that really isn't important because even if you had new skis as soon as you started hitting rails they'd loose any groomer performance they once had.

Forsureeee, thanks for the help guys ! But Yeah they are pretty heavy... My local mt. is mthigh and theres only like a handful of skiiers... Pretty stoked on the local shops bustin out the 50% off signs since this is last week of season for us :)
