Boarder Hate...

I've noticed an increasing amount of members trashing snowboarders recently... accusing people of looking at snowboard vidoes, and websites... and saying thats wrong.

Personally i think we have no reason to hate on each other, we both have the same riding styles, all want the park to be in gret shape, and live for pow days. theres no reason for any of us skiers to hate on snowboarders. we should all get along

I do agree with you strongly about this issue. There is no reason what so ever that we should hate on each other. I think that there are some points where snowboarders get frustrating but that all depends on your local hill. I personally ski with a mixed crowd. About 5 skiers and 5 snowboarders...The vibe is much better and its sick to see progression on both ends

I dont get why we need to hate, we pretty much coexist now and we both pretty much hate gapers, whether they be skiing or snowboarding. It's not like skateboarding vs rollerblading because they have their own spots wherever but we have to share spots. I haven't seen much hate irl between us. We coexist a lot better now than we have like 5 years ago and snowboarders are starting to chill out with skiin and appreciating us more. Why should we have to take a step backwards?

Really? I always thought NS was super chill about snowboarders. There are some on here who deserve more respect than a bunch of skiers on here do. I ride with boarders all the time, it's not really all that different. They still love to ride the mountain.

because ur on newschoolers....

my only beef with snowboarders is a lot of them (in my area) think theyre better than the skiers. they think skiing is an old person sport and trash me when i say i prefer skiing to boarding. welcome to nj, where most people only get three days on the slope a year (as opposed to my 150 over the last three) and think theyre gods gift.

I have friends that board and friends that ski. there all just as good of friends and we can have a sick day weather they are skiing or boarding. it doesnt matter if youve got two sticks on your feet or one as long as you respect one another, have fun and all get along
