BMMW's new parks

from what ive heard (like 70% sure), a couple guys were sent out to hood last year to get certified in park construction and to learn how to make a park that doesnt suck nuts.

Brandywine is adding A ton of new rails and shit, the halfpipe is gone, and is being replaced by a new full length pipe somewhere else (bigger and better). I guess like 48 percent of the place is gonna be park. Boston Mills is getting a couple rails, and will probably have those two shitty parks, keeping it the old persons ski area, while brandywine will cater more to the younger crowd. if you have any other info, please reply. I am hopin for a wall ride!

Lets go skiing

We just rode with all the guys that're in charge of expanding the BW park. They're getting 6 new rails at BW. From what I've heard there's going to be a flat-down-flat, a flat-down, a rainbow, a box thats like 3 ft. wide for butter's, and a few others, possibly a semi-steep long down rail. The pipe was already moved to the other side and the entire park is being expanded. The 'Shredder' part of the hill will be more for beginners, and the traditional park area will be for more advanced riders. I'm pretty sure the '2 guys sent to Hood' rumor is true, I never heard last night. Mills is turning all of Peter's Pride into a park, not just the top area anymore, and they're getting rails as well, not as many as Brandywine I dont think tho. There will be jumps going the whole way down Pride now too. I think cause of the new owner's BM/BW is finally getting smart and realizing this is where skiing is going and where snowboarding has been, so this year should be alot better than any other year for jumps, rails, etc. Now we just need snow and we're set...

damn it the year i leave for school the park gets good, don't i just have the shityest luck, fuck

that's my two cents

School=no money=no skiing=insanity

Hi David,

Thanks for emailing us with your question. They will be expanding the terrain park on Peter's Pride at Boston Mills this season, but I doubt that there will be jumps all the way down the slope there--they do need that as advanced intermediate terrain for lesson purposes, so they can't completely cover it with terrain park features.

The terrain park at Brandywine has already been expanded. The halfpipe has been moved... if you're looking at the terrain park from the bottom toward the top, the pipe has been moved off to the left hand side so that it improves the flow of the park and leaves room for more features in the park. As they need less of Shredder for lessons, the park will be expanded over into Shredder as well--and we have added new snowmaking guns to the terrain park area to allow us greater flexibility in making jumps and features there. Some rails were added last year, and we anticipate having more this year as well.

I hope that answers all of your questions--and that we see you at the resorts this winter! Regards, Kim BMBW

Thats just my opinion

B.F.S.C

We do it froggy style!

this is great

so now wherever our ski club goes, we can watch wannabes try and show off on the parks and break an ankle...

plus there are even more opportunities for snowboarders to lay down in front of landings!!

fine, but if i die, im totally gonna kick your ass - me after being dared to jump off my friends house into his pool

one thing i really liked that they changed last year was making the peter's pride park (if u can call it a park) a black run. so only school kids with black can go on it.

ha good point. has anyone been to brandywine lately? they had 4 or 5 rails/boxes. i wasnt crazy about the jumps but it looks like they are finally developing something..

after the halfpipe at bw opens the entire park layout is going to change, thats straight from maintenence's mouth. they're going to have most of the rails go along the right side and more jumps going all down the left, so that there's multiple lines not just a bunch of random shit put together

wow, a halfpipe, in ohio none the less...i need to come up there and have some fun...

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!

they got a 30 foot box, a rainbow, a double kink, and a C rail new this year.
