BMBW Predictions

My initial reaction to that is there is no fucking way that happens. But...I hope im wrong and you're right!

i asked bob yesterday when he was in the lift shack and he said yes this is true. i first heard this from one of the matainace guys when i was working

this is confirmed by Bob miller himself. so we will be open till like MAY hopefully. they jsut need to push the snow all over there.

I hope your right about this Colin. Honestly id be content with them just putting up a hike park with some rails simar to A Basins opening day park.
 
Look at their most recent facebook and instagram post. They are trying to get publicity for making snow.

are they really going to make snow? I can't honestly seeing them do this, although I think they are trying to make up lost ground with the late open

Such a gimmick. They are making snow and they're acting like they are making the greatest sacrifice of the season!
 
While I went to brandywine on sunday there were some decent snow piles for being only a night shift of snowmaking. The snow is going to get very slushy very fast so I wonder how long that extended opening plan will last. I know that they have polar blast snow to work with but still.
 
Yeah this weather has taken a sudden turn for the worst. I'm not sure any of the Ohio Resorts will be able to make it to April with this weather.

The end of the season is upon us.
 
Well if we can get past this weekend we will have a chance. The lows are in the high 20s. They might close during the week or even saturday to ensure the snow stays
 
This thread makes me so happy I don't ski there anymore. Grew up skiing there and skied there for the past 20 years. Definitely miss riding with all the homies and everyone always seemed to make the best of what we had. Met some of my best friends here and have a lot of great memories for sure. But man things changed in the past 5 years. Not opening till after Christmas and closing early March. Didn't they close early last year just to re open? Talk about a place that does not care for their customers. They make all there money off ski school and food and once that is over good luck. I'm never one to rip on park crew bc i know they work hard but something has to be done at the management level.

100% agree, and especially with the park crew. I think it was a bad choice to put the jumps on the right side this year but they really put in a lot of effort into this past park build. You have the potential to hit 7 features in one run, which is pretty solid considering the length of the hill. I wouldn't want to be up all night putting in rails by hand or grooming every lip every hour. I have respect for those guys
 
The rail jam next friday is snowboarders only.

What the fucking fuck. Rail jams are the only kind of contest I am even interested in, and the one they did earlier this year was garbage.

Bmbw is so good at rustling my jimmies.
 
I just got into skiing when josh took over. I wish i started earlier so i could see how awesome if used to be.

Then lets just do some gaper trains this final weekend and wait for the park sessions to start because the park crew will be rebuilding most of the stuff im assuming. Its supposed to be below the mid 30s as well so the snow wont be as slushy as it is now. We always have the giant jumps and the big air to work with in terms of a lack of snow

I hope so, but I would imagine not with next weekends "Park sessions" that they will hype as bonus days.

Last year they weren't going to do one until Mad River announced theirs. So unless soemthing catalyzes them, I don't see it happening.
 
I seem to have sprained my knee last time I was there. I was doing an octograb straight air and my knee popped hard. I feel like a fucking retard haha

those boxes are super sketchy. I like the long one because that is how I learned to slide boxes all the way 90 on and land switch.
 
Since this is the last weekend for the regualar season, is there going to be another train session at brandywine because i have missed the last two closing weekends. I have seen them on youtube and they look sick.

That makes sense. For some stupid reason I expected some sort of massive effort to push all the remaining snow onto downdraft and make a superpark.

I thought they would do this after the spring sessions but now I doubt it because it's been raining so much.
 
2016 BMBW predictions lets go. I hope I don't find myself at Snow Trails as much as last year or have to wait till January to ski at home.
 
Not looking too great. I'm expecting to have to travel a lil bit to get some early season laps in. Oh well that's the way she goes
 
Ok guys we need to take things into our own hands here. Peak resorts is a publicly traded company (NYSE: SKIS) so I saw we all pitch in and gain a controlling interest in the company then do whatever the hell we want with it.

Or we could go to jesse boyd's house (josh boyd's father) and tell him to fire his son because he sucks. But there is a possibility we can open dec 5th depending on snow making opportunities after it. We would probably get a summit park but its better than nothing.
 
Alpine valley is getting a lot colder temps than us for the upcoming snowmaking weather so we may have to ski there first if we dont want to pay for a lift ticket. Might be lucky if brandywine brings some rails over but its a longshot.

Im debating working there cause I need cash and a refund on my pass is pretty huge. All i hear is trash about the conditions though
