Bmbw parks

No I understand completely what you are saying. With the resources BMBW has they could have had a great park last year. We had so much snow and the park just stayed the same allllll year.

As I stated earlier my post was no directed towards you at all. I was giving my opinion about Ohio....not Alpine vs. BMBW.

i think that they will figure things out. these people are figuring out how to run a successful resort

like i said i think....

but there has been an increase in people other than ski clubs since kent left and they want to figure out how to bring other people in besides ski clubs. but like any business its hard to make everyone happy especially a resort that doesn't have things that make skiers happy like long runs and powder. things they can't control. but when they can figure out a way that they can make everyione happy that also benefits them positively than well be going in the right direction. i think that gaing a good reputation for a park will be a step in the right direction. and any good ideas wouldn't hurt but bitching doesn't help....

Your enthusiasm is nice but to the people who have been skiing there for over 20 years it's kind of funny.
 
17years. since i was two. i guess the idea of probably isn't very realistic but im a dreamer. even if bostonmills sucks i still love to ski.

I started in 1966 so that is allot of years ( math sucks in my mind ) I have seen jumps come and go. I have been at hills in Ohio that thought my tele bindings were broken and would not let me ride there.
I still think it is really cool to slide down any hill that has snow on it. I am very sceptical about sliding down a hill with carpeting on it , skiing on a rail, box or some crazy piece of jumk that is left in the middle of the hill. NO WAY am I going down that hill at Ohio Dreams without allot of encouragement. But I totally respect the level of skill required to do what I want nothing to do with.
Way cool to see the support for the place and the passion that makes it run.
Were is the racer crowd ? I have been thinking about about starting the season on a Snow Board, just because everyone thinks the hill sucks at some point.
Hey Heff, I buy good food. Someday if you allow, I may take you up on that comfy couch. Can I bring F & G sleep on the floor ? We are going to miss you at Christmas, we have two weeks booked at Area 51.

ahhh yes yes and yes!!! food would be sick! the food on campus is grose haha yes couch is open to all of you guys..might be a squeeze haha..i told freddy and gerry i expect them..no if or ands about it...what dates are you guys going to area 51? i'll be home from dec 18 to jan 7
 
We are going from Dec. 18 - Jan. 3. The snow forecast looks better in Ohio than it does in Colorado right now, but we are going. Boys keep the grades up and someday we are coming to Utah, but do not worry, I need a good nights sleep and my couch days are long past at this point. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

At least we can go skiing, plus i know that everyone loves it, or they wouldn't bitch because they want some thing better. Yes, management could do a better job, but i see things improve each each year. Back when i got my first pair of twins in 2000, the stuff was so sketchy and beat. Now at least they are making strides. I agree that some active changes would be nice so we don't ride the same lines all year. Considering it is all we have a little variety would be nice. I think that brandywine could easily be the best park in Ohio and a contender in the region. Our talent level is huge here, and we have a serious core following. Noone else has a hill this close to a major city in Ohio. That is a big thing as far as convenience.

I know Jodie and Brandy pretty well, and they do care, but while you are telling them what you want, they have 200 other people telling them what they want. Remember that while it is the most exciting and awesome thing on the hill, we are not the only people using the resort. They must make about 12 different groups happy at once. They work their asses off. Hats off to the park crew for making things better every year. Keep up the stoke and good work, and we can all get better together and have more fun.
 
Maybe the snow tubing hill will be ready. I could forget the snowboard and ride a cafeteria tray. Now that sounds extreme.

Skiis arrived today by big brown truck. Boots to follow. Waxing area set up and ready. Have we missed anything yet.

Dick$ come ride with us in Colorado. East Coast luck is we leave here and its snowing hard to go there and they are not getting snow. Oh well, the hills are a little longer that Outerlimits, which is really only fun with ancient leather boots.

Comps are always fun. Seems like this year is gonna be a Battle of the Resort Parks. BMBW, MRM, PNS and Snow Trails. Just an awsome way to spend the winter. Super sick kids throwing some flip twisty shit over bigger jumps than we ever had when I was a kid. Always get some awsome comments from the lift about did you see what that kid did ?

Now that is funny ! Dizzy, the kids think that you are showing your age by calling a pencil 360 a helicopter, but I dont think we have to worry about any of the kids, skiing the bumps like us old guys. Either way we really enjoyed the video and fondly remember those days from last year.

Personally I like the ob on tiger. I do not think I have skied Scotts line with the nice pile-up under the lift. That is a great way to get caught. I taught Freddy the line on tiger with the long floater air that he totally biffed the landing on. BMBW got a cat stuck down in that gully triying to get rid of the lip, back when you were not allowed to jump.

Your first descent down behind the party house reminds how good we have it sometimes. I hope we get to relive all the fun for many years to come. Nice work mate !
 
if not saturday, sunday for sure. then next friday for brandywine. looks like the weather might hold up for some snowmaking everyday.
 
ill put my doubts on this, brandywine id say not till the 20th atleast, they're always a week plus behind. boston mills will probably attempt to open this weekend with a minimal base, but its all good skiings skiing and i aint got no boots yet lol
 
well i was stoked until i checed their site and happened to watch the "opening day" video, and guess what? nothing original at all. the song they are using happens to be exactly the same one we put in our edit a week ago, very original guys, i know you guys are on NS and all, so if you read this grow some balls and come up with your own choice of music, instead of copying off of other edits, oh yeah and step up your park, you have so much potential and you choose not to use it

If you have only been there since 2000 you don't really have grounds against a lot of the people making comments in this thread. It has been better, but you only being there since 2000 wouldn't know that. Visits, revenues, etc are down since then. The new Management team is a definite improvement over the Kent Graham show and I think I speak for everyone on here when I say that I hope for the best.

Try not to take offense but realize there are some people posting on here who have been skiing the mills for a lot longer than 9 years.

Have fun out there tomorrow... I'll be up at Holiday skiing powder!
 
that and it does mean that they are watching what we're doing with the sport, and hopefully that means they'll bring bigger and better things into the mix.

oh and like heff said, it's a song. it's prolly been used many other times for many other reasons.
 
yeah i know, i wrote that a little pissed off so it didnt come out right, but yeah it sucks cause we searched for an original song and then suddenly it gets used in their edit right after we do, which then cheepens the song and our edit.

thats why i was pissed but if they are watching this stuff, good, keep up with it and lets have some real progression this year (and some originality)

thats exactly why we were upset. imagine this: you search for a dope song that hasnt been used yet, it takes you a little while and then you find it and your edit comes out pretty sick. then, a week later it ends up in your home hill's cheesy opening day video. you'd be lying if you made your edit and that happened to you and you werent just a little upset

yes it was very bad. shit i thought you had a house there. my transcript is looking beast right now so i wanna gtfo of here asap. the mormons are a huge turn off though. just to think of all the mormon women that i cant touch, makes me sad :(
 
hahaha you'll be fine...a lot of my buddies get down with them all the time...a lot of them are just raised in a mormon family but don't practice at all...similar to how a lot of kids arond us are catholic/christian/jewish/whatever and their family is so and so religion but they don't practice it
 
was anyone else kind of disappointed with the setup this weekend.

because all i really want is a flat bar or box, none of these down rails that are never fun to hike...

although the flow was pretty good. and first time i've ever seen a tire jib at mills, or a dance pad setup like that.
 
yeah the tire bonk was and the slanted dance pad was alright. definitely more creative than just stock. pleasantly suprised to say the most. best opening day set up in a couple years but still nowhere near par with what pics i saw from mad river
 
i know foo. im just messin. btw i should be home within the week, very latest this weekend. i blew the transmission in my jeep so i have to stay a little until i fix it. lets plan a springs trip for when i get back man. also, are your parents still testing you?
