how's the park situation looking right now?? coming home tuesday night.. hoping there's some shit to mess around on while i'm home

i wouldn't expect anything more than a couple boxes. the weather has sucked ass all the past week, so they have been able to do anything down there. we're supposed to get some snow this weekend so that may help. i talked to the new GM in the BM bar saturday night. he seems like a really cool dude who understands that you have to at least have a few features out all the time nowadays. at least its not like years past where you'd have to wait for three weeks untill they decided to put a box or rail out.

dont quote me on this but, from the meeting we had on weds, the plan is to start building the park mid next week while they are closed, so then come next weekend we should have some stuff to mess around on when they open, and yea the new GM is very legit and knows whats going on. things are turning around for bwine

yeah i am happy to see that they are finally get their shit back together. also, there is some really legit people building the park. hopefully we get some snow tonight and tomorrow.

not to steal chip's thread but----anyone know why the "park crew" at BM last weekend decided it was necessary to close down the boxes at 10:20 just to rake out the take offs. i understand it for a few minutes while they get the job done. but they fixed up the boxes then shut them down for the rest of the night. pretty lame i thought.

if ur talking about 10:20 pm then they were probley setting um up for the next day and sure i know u might respond well they can do that after the resort closes but like who wants to be raking a park out at 11 30 at night? who cares it was wat 2 boxes? just ride and enjoy the sport

yah from everything i've heard and read it sounds like the new mgmt. at bmbw are ALOT more open and proactive when it comes to parks, im stoked to see the new direction they're taking

p.s. isn't it dumping there right now too??

i wasnt there the previous sat nite but this sat we closed prolly bout 1045 or so.....keep in mind a lot of the people on the crew are there all day some since open and some had to be back at open the next day.....it was also probably not very crowded anymore and thought it was a good time to close......keep in mind that everything right now is new to the park crew at bmbw and were still working out the kinks....were all still figuring out how each other works and getting much better working together......try and respect the hill and have fun

i was there tonight and all three rails looked like they hadnt been touched for a couple days

giant holes in all the landings and the jumps looked like aireal jumps

.................. i dunno

i was hikin them all night tonight. theyre average boxes, nothing special. got a few good things in on them but they werent really long enough. the snow blowing was an issue there

why hate when they are trying. i mean they had shit set-up opening day and ever since they continue to put new stuff up. so i mean hating on a resort that is just getting into it seems pretty weak but hey everyone has an opinion. and whore harsh?

hahah genius

well thats rad there's even a dedicated park crew to discuss in such a thread, despite if people are happy or unhappy with the current results. hopefully between the new snow and manmade shit that's already there, there will be some fun shiz to mess around on. i might try and come out wednesday if i can find a ticket!

yo we are still trying to work out the schedules and shit like that, thats prob why the boxes werent prestine, but once things get rolling you can expect much better, still trying to figure out all the kinks just bare with us

haha mindy gettin his input in there hot shit. how did things turn out? let me know tomorrow and chip i think someone can get you a ticket no worries.

i was there tonight and all three rails looked like they hadnt been touched for a couple days

giant holes in all the landings and the jumps looked like aireal jumps

also another thing to keep in mind is the fact that its real early season....most people at the resort have a lot of other things on their plate such as snomaking and trying to still open the other one.....but also the boxes are setup as you should expect boxes to be setup.....nothing too special and they are meant to be basically ride on so that way beginners are able to progress also......when the real park at bwine is up it will definitely be much more of a priority

i mean word atleast there is stuff to hit

but its not that great when you cant ride out anything switch without hitting a giant ice hole

i would say that if you stomp tricks like a man you wouldnt care how the landing was.....plus i havent been there yet this season and thought the landings were all that bad....i mean there only boxes that 3000 people hit in a day its not gonna be perfect.....man up

okay dude so if i set up a box and u 270 out of it, land switch, and stomp it. then i dig a 2 foot deep rut and spray it down with water let it ice over you could ride it out like its ur job?

ill believe that when my shit turns purple and smells like rainbow shurbert.

i mean now there is some serious talk going on now about spinning out of a box at bmills. holy shit. everything is not going to be prestine at a resort and i dont think that d is trying to take your manhood from you nate, he is just trying to make a point. the resort is just opening up with new management and things are just going to take time to make things run smoothly like fixing the ruts that i am sure are there after so many people hit it. but that was a horrible analogy about your shit man. i dont want another imagine like that after 2 girls one cup man. that shit was not exotic. so lets all just be patient and enjoy the fact that we even have features to hit. i am confident that the park will be improved

i hear what you're saying but dude i ski keystone/breck on a routine basis and even at keystone there were HUGE bomb holes after some of their features by the end of the day. and that was just at 3ish when the mtn. is starting to close. depending on how the feature's setup and if theres any sort of transition coming off the feature, there are bound to be bomb holes. trust me it's not just an ohio thing!

thanks man id appreciate it! aside from just wanting to ski my home hill(s), i'm thinking about posting a gallery/story about the small hill/big heart mentality of what it's like to grow up skiing in the midwest. it'd be posted on the website i shoot for (bnqt.com). but yah, flying home tonight, might try and ski tomorrow (wednesday) if i can.

yoo i was at bmills the other night and saw someone that looked eggggsactly like you and i'm like yellin at him like chip yo chip hey chip and then someone came up to me like heff that's not chip.....i felt kinda gay also couldn't understand why "you" were riding like 10 cm back on some k2s

hahaha nice. yah, not back yet, going to DIA in about 2 hours tho. i have green pants, this year's AR6's, white helmet, and probably no poles. also, im usually listening to music so even if it were me i probably wouldnt've heard you anyway!

to be fair- the past week, i think who ever is in charge of the boxes on pride have been doing a really good job of keeping them fun. they have been blowing alot of snow over there and the shit is soft and gets rutted out fast. i guess it is best to appreciate that we're even open at all after last years late start. now--who do we talk to about getting the FDF kink set up............

i agree bout putting the fdf in....however it is now only a flat down....i guess some of the guys thought it would be better as just a flat down.....just so you know......wasnt my idea of a better rail but thats what it is

the only way i've found that rail is actually fun is if it's set up flat up flat ( turn it around) or if it's really set at an angle and set up urban style dfd but that's never happened before...from what i've heard don't be too into seeing that much done at bmills for all the work will be put into bwine this weekend and so on

so i think i saw this kid chip at bmills the other day. he was desperately looking for a kid named dick? i am not sure what it was about, although he seemed to be in a pretty vibrant mood. ahahaha lol

WHO???

hey the DFD at BM is alive and well. i saw it today.its next to the lodge by the garage.. the rail they cut was the up rail (or down depending on which way they set it up) . -----another thing----anyone know if their going to keep their rails and stuff on the side of petes pride all year? i kinda like em over there. and you dont have to do the dumb shuffle up the drop in like on the other side. just wondering
