BMBW 13/14

anyone know what the set ups are like at Bwine and Bmills today? it kinda sucks they don't have park updates on their page anymore

Brandywine set up as of 12/17 ........from the top......20 foot down single barrel, corrugated pipe jib next to it.......low flat disco box (is that what its called?) Then next to eachother are a flat double barrel rail and a Flat/down square rail combo. Then a smallish 10-15 foot step down style jump. Finally a down box or a DFD square rail.

well, looks like its going to warm up and rain in the next few days, but as long as the park stays open with these features I'll keep riding it. is anyone riding tonight? I'm curious what bmills looks like

It is is a fun setup on pride right now.......I wonder if they plan on keeping that way? I love the FD rail at the top!

Anyone here work for BMBW? Why did they take down the park website/section? I'm kinda pissed there is no description of what kind of park is up. Also, I miss the GM notes written almost every day describing whats going on, instead of these terrible videos Josh puts up that really doesnt say anything.

I don't work for BMBW but I do know that the old media guy, Brent V, was the one who created it and ran all of the updates on their website, and when he left he took the parks page with him since it was purley his page. I have yet to meet Josh, but I hear he's not a bad guy, but I do wish they would update what the parks have in which park and what not

agreed, i miss that stuff....also, why the fuck haven't they been making any snow over the past week when its been well below the needed temp

The started an Instagram for the parks, its not as good as the website, but it's much better than nothing! @bmbwparks

Sorry for the dub post, but do they have the tube that they had set up on opening weekend set up at BW now?

They were supposed to get it last night or the night before, but they didn't have enough guys to move it. Supposedly they were going to rebuld the last pad in the BW park this morning (large shotgun down next to the large kink) but idk how that will go with the rain. I know they are planning on moving it, but I'm not sure when they will actually get to it, they need to though

That's such a kickass rail......that's been laying upside down and rusting in the mud for the last month. Sigh

Was at both places yesterday. They made some snow so conditions are much improved from the previous days. Rail line at bw is good. I think the jump side needs improved or changed. Its just a straightline into one smallish jump. Kinda blah......but the weather has been weird.

For those who have been to both, how does BMBW compare to Perfect North? I'm from Cincinnati so I'm at PNS 4-6 times a week. I's it worth making the trip up there for a sunday? Or will I just be disappointed by an average park setup not much better than Perfect's?

Not many of us bmbw people (that I know of) have skied PNS extensively, or even at all.

Conversely, I imagine most PNS people haven't skied bmbw. I've never skied PNS

I went to miami so I skid PNS for four years. I'm from Akron so I've been at BMBW my whole life. And currently. BMBWs park is definitely bigger. But PNS park at peak season is just as good.. Just not as many features. IMO it's probably better to go to Columbus than up here.

I have skied PNS excessively and BWBM a decent amount. IMO PNS has better quality features but all in a cramped area (the little park is always shitty from gapers). BWBM usually has much more space and a decent flow. PNS has jumps set up so close to rails and off center that you get the occasional gaper cut across.

I've been told there's a triple jump line at brandywine at bmbw right now. Haven't been there yet but I'm checking it out today.

They keep closing because of the cold and its really starting to piss me off, also the new jump line at BW is pretty sick.

I tore my acl on the last kicker at BW. The landing on that is just way too short and its really easy to land gucci plateau.

Anyone know of a closing date for BMBW? Like always, im sure they will close it down with snow still on the slopes. So sad.

They haven't said anything yet.

However, Mad River has announced closing on march 16th. I'm pretty bummed. With the snow and temps we've had all season, they could be open for another month.

I imagine bmbw will do a similar thing. Sucks, resorts here only care about day pass buyers.

Yeah it definitely sucks, but I'm sure they start losing money fast in the late season, so it makes sense why they do it

I completely agree, i just wish we had some crazy melt so there wouldn't be anything left by the time they close up shop. Then I wouldn't be fiending.
