Bluehouse skis!

Are they legit? Are they any good? They're prices are pretty affordable and the skis don't sound too bad. Just wondering if anyone has experienced them first hand?

Havent tried them but heard lots of good things in the teton forums. I just ordered the mavens and cannot wait!!!

I have been on BH since they came out, but I won't tell you jack shit about the product because you used 'you're' very inappropriately.

Yeah, 'very inappropriately' is pretty fucked up, so I will provide a response.

Bluehouse is L.E.G.I.T. I have had first and second generation MR's and I just love the ski to death. I broke a pair each year, and they were promptly replaced after a quick call.

I will take this sentence to nail down the fact that the warranty is super, super reasonable.

This year, I am looking at the Antics because I feel a more park-oriented ski will benefit me, I expect that they will provide me with another reason of wonderful riding.

i scored some mr 171s? last years, look solid and dope, cant wait to throw some bindings on them and hit the ice

What ski(s) are you looking at? I have the Mr's and they are the most playful all purpose ski I have ever ridden. The bamboo core is lively to say the least. Flexy enough for butters, definitely not a noodle so you can rip groomers, solid on landings etc. Sure the top sheet chips but that doesn't affect the performance of the ski. And if you're worried about top sheet chips then don't ski park...? Combine sweet skis with an absolute top notch warranty, and you really can't be disappointed.

Just a little fun fact about Bluehouse to let you know how they operate... Last year after sending out the District's to the customers, they found that the ski wasn't as good as they hoped so they sent a brand new corrected pair to everyone who had purchased the ski that year. No questions asked, free of charge. This is just one reason why I'm a Bluehouse customer.

the first gen mrs definitely had a defect i know this kid that had them and he could peel up his topsheet. but like said they have a mad legit warranty system and they could definitely use your business

It's a peace of mind thing. You could get a ski like the Salomon suspects that fall apart AND have the worst warranty ever...

When buying a ski it's best to factor in:

Ski handling preference vs. actuality

Ski quality

Price

Warranty

Aesthetics

Bluehouse definitely holds their own. And this is coming from a small company just starting their 3rd year production skis.

Yeah i just bought the mavens, its just that i had not heard of someone breaking two pairs in one year. Sounded like more then just bailing really hard

thanks for the great info guys, keep it coming for more people possibly interested. i think im gonna get in on their pre-season sale!

im looking at either the MRs or the Antics, for a park ski. I do 75% jumps and 25% rails, lots of ripping on the groomers and doing fun butters and such... sounds like the MRs would fit the bill?

Where do you ski? Either one would be fine but if you ski ice hills (midwest and east coast) and a narrower ski is preffered, I would get the antics, which are a narrower park specific ski. Keep in mind that tis is the first year of production for this ski and nobody has really tested them. to vouch for them.. The Mr's have a 93 waist and make an awesome one ski quiver. If you ski where there is significant snowfall, and want to rip the softer stuff in the morning and park in the afternoon, then I would go Mr's. Truly a great ski to have fun all over the mountain in and out of the park.

Thanks for the tips man, its really helping me out! I ski the PNW, and I do have some powder boards. So what I'm looking for is a smaller ski for Rpark days. Are the MRs playful and good for the park? I'm looking for something poppy and fun, for butters and stuff but also really solid and nice on jumps. But I've been thinking with the prices they have right now, I might get both skis just for the heck of it!

The MRs do everything well, but I am getting the Antics this year because feel that I need a skinnier ski.

It's really up to you man. I think either ski will be all right for you. I never really buttered much until I got the Mr's but I have buttered everything since. I thought the MR's killed it everywhere. If you search John Kutcher in the video section, he has a few edits on the MR's and slays everything he touches on them from rails to jumps.

bumpin this thread cause i dont wanna make a new one. Just wanted to know if bluehouses are handmade? i thought they were but just wanted to make sure. Thanks.
