Blue Mtn snow

actually i called the c box before anyone else did... but dennis was definately wrong about "all these other rails" he claimed they had. n rainbow box, and only two other new rails. with them widening the trail for next year, things need to get better than they were this year. no more excuses of not having enough room, on the trail not being steep enough to have bigger jumps. anyone decent could overshoot every jump on that trail without any trouble at all.

you dont need to work every single day during ski season in order to ski. i worked during the summer, holiday weekends, and winter break and thats pretty much it. i skiied 64 days this year, more or less living in philly at school. its just about how much you really want to ski. sure, i was broke all winter, but i manged to get enough money for gas or found a ride to the mountain so i could ski. i have put more effort into trying to better blue mountain than most people realize, giving people suggestions, writing emails, working at the mountain, helping with their commercials, and fixing stuff in the park. so far, i got nothing in return except for $6 an hour for "teaching" little brats while their parents went and skiied. I was threatened to have my pass taken away because i emailed suggestions to dennis and somewhere along the line, my email got buggy and sent him a few extra copies; he thought i was spamming him. first generation, who does blue's commercials, was super excited that i wanted to help them film, but did not take a single suggestion from me, and none of the shots that i told them would work well made it into any commercials, and the people in the office refused to take me seriously when i wanted to show them that i could do a better job than first generation. i also practically got my head ripped off for trying to fix the lip onto the downkink box by some snowboard instructor who couldnt 50-50 the flat box if his life depended on it. so when it comes to dedication, i think i have paid my dues, and its about time that place gets its act together and gives back to the kids who have been supporting it for as long as they've been able to stand up on skis. i'm hoping freeriders gets going this season, so maybe i will actually have an opportunity to make things better, but up til now, my attempts have brought nothing but trouble for myself and some of my friends. yeah, that was long, and i dont really remember what i was trying to get across with this, but pretty much any "info" anyone has posted on here, unless they saw it first hand on snow, has not been true. dennis straight up lied to me at the beginning of the season about the new rails and stuff, and i take full credit for spreading that, but you would think if the mountain manager tells you something, its reliable info. so the moral of the story here is, go to college so you have an excuse not to work for the winter, which will give you that much more time to ski. if none of this makes sense, then either i am too tired to thing clearly, or you are incompetent. i'm done, let the hating resume.

hey jus -- I told steven to ask if there were any changes coming to blue as a result of the sale. 'Kiss and tell" and "notch it up"

I would like to know how many people on here might be interested in signing up for the Blue Mountain Freeride Ski Program next season. There are 3 levels of instruction, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Jumps, Rails/Boxes, Pipe and Flatland will be covered. The progam will most likely last most of the season and will be reasonable priced. Coaching from certified and qualified instructors at all 3 levels. We will also be competing in local events, and possible USASA for those who are intersted.

i believe the criteria is that you have to be able to ski a blue square safely and under control? am i right on that chris? but basically, if you are just starting out in the park, or want to get started learning things the right way, this would be a good way for you to go about it. i dont know the cost off hand though, sorry.

That is correct. The skiing requirement to get in is the ability to ski at least blue squares at Blue Mountain... and that does not mean in a wedge. Chances are if you are on here you already meet the requirement. If however you are a true beginner we can get you to the level you need to be in a couple of weeks. We will have early start for these people so they have a chance to join the program in the same season. If you are already pulling tricks in the park we can help you progress to a higher level or compete. We are ironing out the details at this time, so I will let everyone know the price soon.

awesome, i think i might be interested in helping out w/ it if you need it...sounds like someone finally has their shit together at blue, good job chris, keep it up homie and keep me posted

hey hey, id love to be a part of the team or w/e. if it means i need to coach here and there thats ok im a pretty good skier, im pretty much a beg. when it comes to park skiing, but i know my shit. id love to help out be a part of a real team! haha no but seriously, is this like we get a free pass and coach or just a competition team that sometimes helps out..

Turtle: Look at you Mr. Beg for pussy on promnight.

Eric: Yea Turtle, I was begging my girlfriend, you were begging a 40 dollar hooker who declined your mother's credit card.-Entourage

what are the requirements for each level. like how good is advance considering your technically not aloud to do inverts and shit.

Shope da Dope

yea, good point shope....is like any kid who can spin a 5 or 7 be "advanced" cuz there should be some rail requirements too

when i buck buck, you better duck duck!

The requirements for each level will be decided after the first few weeks of the progam. Obviously if you have never tried anything in the park you would be a beginner, and if you are throwing 5's you would proably be advanced. Students will be able to move aorund in the program depending on how they are doing. So if the advanced group is above your head you can move down to intermediate and visa versa. We have coaches that are able to teach at all levels. Students will be able to learn at theie own ability and compfort level. We just got done writing the broshure for next season, and the program is listed in there. The program will start the week before Xmas and go for 10 weeks. The seesions will be held Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9am to 1pm. So basically you are looking at 80 hours of fun.

Also, age requirements for getting in the progam is 8 years old. We are doing rails, jumps. pipe, and skier-cross. So, wome people may be advanced on rails and beginner in the pipe. We will also have some sub groups in which people in this situation can get what they need out of the whole program.

We plan on this program being very sucessful. So hopefully some of the students that go through the program may want to return to coach. All of our coaches are trained in freeride as well as regular skiing and some reacing.

Please come over to www.paskiandride.com and post your info!!!

Question: My one boy is on the CAT team, my other boy, the freestyler would be interested in participating - I am sure. Can you tailor a part time program? I can't be 2 places at once....
