Blue Mountain PA - 05/06 News!

i think i'll be up there tomorrow around 2ish...and an announcement: I'll be on new skis thursday, so i think the woodkits are going into partial retirement and only coming out for ghetto occasions. This is a sad day, i know...but i trust you will all make it through. Lets all get one more final.."Woodkit Mine"
 
it brings a tear to my eye knowing that they will be gone. at least they will be 50 yards away in your garage so they can come out and play at Mt. Mik.... woodkit mine.
 
I will also be there around 2 tomorrow. I will look for you guys in the park, unfortunately I will not be on skis.

I am sad to hear the woodkits will not be on the mtn again, hopefully you will still be able to use them at my place this summer.
 
HUGE new feature going in, maybe tonight. Some people are calling it an inverted rainbow, but I am calling it hald a roller coaster. It is like 50' long and 10-15' high. It is a box, so it is about 12" wide. They also changed around the lower park, more of a slopestyle setup.
 
It may be the same shape as one at BC, Camleback has one too.. it is just much smaller. I am pretty sure they are putting it up tonight in the "rail garden".
 
bear's is 48 feet i believe? and yeah, bears is kinda a half rollercoaster, its got a little hump at the beginning, but mostly its a u box, its gap on so you dont even hit the first upslope. whats this rail garden chris? we might be up friday for a bit to check it out.
 
Sorry, I meant that the box at camelback was much smaller... I am not sure of the one at BC. The roller on this box is pretty big, that is the spot that is like 15' high. Of cours I was looking at it out of the snow too.

Bring out the old C rail, the one that is where the steps are this year. Also build a double barrle straight flat rail like 25-30' long. I have a good example if you want to take a look up at the mtn. I really cool C rail like in the movie happy dayz would be fun. How about some really small stuff too, so we can properly teach people how to ride the bigger ones safely.
 
fish box...creative. and thanks for letting us know what we're calling it. i plan on calling it the crackerbarrel thank you. so is it just like bears U box??

I have a good example if you want to take a look up at the mtn. How about a picnic table... A really cool C rail like in the movie happy dayz would be fun. How about some really small stuff too, so we can properly teach people how to ride the bigger ones safely. Put out some of the rails that are sitting around up at the garage, in the new "open" area which I am calling the rail garden
 
yea, get some more mellow stuff in there that kids can learn on, in order to hit the more difficult stuff...if they have it, and they have the space...why not use it
 
i can't wait to hit the crackerbarrel. should be sick. and yeah, please just put in a flat rail. Boulder has one that is 40 feet long and is smooth as hell, that would be perfect instead of art sculptures that only parents and their kids ( who dont belong in the fuckin park anyway) seem to enjoy because "it looks cool"

just got back from Blue. they blew snow in the park but nothing is very different. you can see that they are going to be putting in some new rails in some spots though. and lets just say that the booters are bigger than they have ever been. the first booter after the c-box was moved back was 10 of my ski lengths (174) making it about 58 feet. the double set of booters after the rainbow is also bigger. the left side is 8 1/2 ski lengths making the jump 50 feet. the huge booter though, will make you shit your pants. its a couple inches less than 13 ski lengths... making it about 75 feet. this should make for a pretty sick slopestyle comp. unfortunately i wont be there. but all of you better be filming it!
 
they are fine. everybody complains abotu everything. its fuckin PA. dont expect landings that are 100 yards long like out west. if you know how to hit a jump you are fine.
 
I thought the rail jam tonight was fun. I agree that the "jam" session should have been longer for more runs, and maybe some more lights... but otherwise it was cool.

The ski judging was based on who did the best over the first run and then who had the best combined runs for the final. Unfortunatly a fall or a ski loss prevented half of the skiers from making it to make the finals.

Congratulations to Justo8484, and the Millers for making it into the finals.
 
In case anyone does not know, Blue will be open until 3/26. They blew snow last night and will do so when they can. The park is still in nice shape!
 
im tryin to peep blue for the last time this weekend, but i only have 10 bucks to my name and a quarter tank of gas. i can make it happen though you'll see.
 
Hells ya. I heard Justin Thomas is gonna throw the flatspin 9 hes been talkin about. John Mik is gonna throw a 1260 while screamin something about BC rat or somethin. Lil Miller is gonna keep skiing across the grass. Trevor M. is gonna pee in the woods and talk a ton of shit and hate on all the yungins. Korey is is gonna drop some shit off that 75 footer. Romano is gonna break his wrist....the other one. And KT is gonna jump over all the kids he hates, which would be everyone... And Bear Creek kids, oh damn its closed, where you gonna film dorsey? BLAM!

Lets see if Ryan shows up...

if ryan miller shows up, he will proceed to take off his helmet and not only look like kramer from seinfeld, but act like him and make a perfume that smells like the beach. And mikovits will not do a 1260...it will be a 1440, switch, onto the wall, and double backflip out. then he'll get a boner and chase people with it.
 
and then to everyone's amazement, tubgirl will emerge from the sinkhole in the halfpipe (you thought it was brown from mud?) and she and john will mate so he can relieve himself. what a grand day it will be.

i told her to do it! thank me! surprisingly, there were no altercations tonight. some of the tricks thrown were pretty illegal though. i finally got backside 270 outs back! only took me half the season, huh?
