Blue Mountain PA - 05/06 News!

Tonight again, but then more crappy weather on the way. And I've found that the lips, especially onto rail, have been really hard to keep nice when they blow on top of what is already down. We need some natural snow to blow on top of again...

exactly the same as it was when you left. they need to change stuff around and add more features and crap from last year... its getting old
 
were you guys teachin little kids how to do that huge box? cuz that looked like a pretty sweet way to get the little ones into the sport. Too bad that box is real sticky and weird
 
any one competing in that bordercross race toamrrow?i think i might, ive never raced before but bordercross looks like a good time
 
no its suppose to be set up on main street, not that pos lower sidewinder, or is the main street the thing your talking about?
 
Raceway is where a lot of the races are held. Ride the main street lift and make a right when you get off. If you want to watch the race make a left and take Come A Round half way down. The skiercross will not affect the park.
 
Darkside Freeride members took some prizes today:

COACH:

Kate - 1st place womens, won a pair of k2 skis (2nd 1st place in a row!)

Dan - 1st place men 14-18, won a helmet

Trevor - I think took 3rd place in over 18 men

STUDENT:

Sammy - 2nd place under 14 men, won poles

Ludwig - 3rd place under 14 men

Sean - I think took 3rd place 14-18 men

wor dto that blue crew killed it at bc.. kt justo and miller all had solid runs... kinda a bummer that all the other mountains didnt represent... who else was there i saw a few others i didnt recogonize
 
trevor was knocked out in the first round after a fall and miller only made it to the 2nd round... i think i made it the furthest out of all of us... Romano got 3rd in the 14-18 men...

i thought it was a pretty decent course that they had set up too
 
i took 3rd with my first run; me second run i got tossed all sorts of weird off one of the jumps and almost died. miller took second with a big true tail 9 for his first hit, and kev took first with a cork 9 up top and a blindside switchup over the rail transfer gap. it was a really fun course, nice day, and good competition. good job everybody who did skiercross!
 
from what we were told, its gonna be closed all week to rebuild everything. hopefully some new stuff comes out.
 
nice, i think im coming home this weekend early cause bc is having a big air comp thursday, then there is that rail jam at boulder and a usasa comp at shawnee. hopefully i will be able to make it to blue on friday or saturday though.
 
yeah i think he hit puberty, and his balls might be about to drop too! but seriously, he can hit stuff switch now.
 
hahahaha nice chris....was that professional encouragement john chasing him with his penis? cuz i know if that thing were behind me, i'd hit any rail or jump in my way to get away from it.
