Blue Mountain= no jumps?

So ive heard heard from a couple of people that blue mountain is not going to have any jumps this year? RCR (resorts of the canadian rockies) has aparently bought 25% of blue mountain or some part of intrawest and theyre regulations are no jumps. ex: Mount St Anne. I live in collingwood and noticed they plowed the landings for the jumps but that was in the summer so i dont really know what theyre doing but it doesnt sound good. Any people know anything..?

I doubt it but the easy answer to this is to call them. Its easy if they have, just head out to mslm. It closer for us Torontonians, and cheaper.

yea i know but some of the people at blue mountain that ive called know nothing at all about the park. and if i have to i willl end up skiing mslm for the year.

Yup, but RCR may have just bought a part of blue mountain and not intrawest ,im not certain yet. Their website only mentions that they bought new rails and boxes..

You buy stocks in blue mountain. It doesnt meen they own the park but they do have some say in what happens. For now lets leave the thread until anyone knows anything thats official.

thats cant be true cuz then u wont see any of the big air comps going on and i have also heard that RCR is building jumps againd this year cuz of the loss or revenue last year.

well since the mountain itself is not owned by intrawest it would be seriously hard for RCR to purchase 25% of the mountain through intrawest. for those that don't know business, 25% is not a controlling interest and they therefore would not have an ultimate veto in the terrain park. especially since (i firmly believe) the estate of Jozo Wieder (founder of Blue Mountain) still has the controlling interest in the operation of the hill. intrawest owns the village developments surrounding the hill.

the creator of this thread really needs to pull his head out of his ass or post up his source of this information.

there has been no change in ownership here at Blue Mountain. RCR does not to my knowlege own any part of this resort, so unless there is something that they are not telling us, i would say that what you have heard on the subject is simply a ski town rumour.

im on park staff at horseshoe, and rumor has it, blue will be lucky to have a PARK this year the way things are going.
that was coming from my park supervisor and the gm of the resort

I have no reason to believe any information you bring unless you bring a bit more reasearch. Sarah had no hint of hesitation towards a park being build thus i find it hard to believe your statement.

nice try buddy but people still aren't going to ride horseshoe if you just feed them lies about other hills.

and sarah@blue whats the word on tomorow are there finally going to be rails set up for opening day at blue or are they gonna fuck that up again?

to be honest i have no idea if there are going to be features set up - i know that the guys were on the hill today but what exactly they have planned has not been communicated to me yet – I know that the park chair won't be running this weekend but they usually try and have some hike-able features set up within the first couple of days.

hike park on Graduate - you need a valid lift ticket but you do not need a park pass

conditions for opening day are actually pretty good! :)
