Blue isn't opening to the 18th

Just called blue and apparently they aren't opening till the18th. Im pissed, we are getting dumped on in collingwood too.
 
You do realize that 20cm of snow fall, doesn't equal 20cm of base right? They want to open as soon as they can, but they won't open before they are ready. Yeah it sucks to have a late start to the season. But i'd trade a couple weeks of early season, for a couple weeks of spring skiing when everything is up and running anyday. Be patient. Get creative. Go ski the streets.
 
YUP. I called twice last night they then said the 15th now i wake up to a snowday hearing its open tomorrow. Look for me guys!
 
Don't expect any hike park set up for this weekend. Their park crew is smaller than past years, and all but 2 of them are laid off right now, even as of last night. You would think they would be getting called back to work right about now though?
 
I don't know... it all comes down to whether it will cost me money or not. I'm not gonna pay to be able to ski just 1 run. I'll probably just hold off till Monday. I'll be hung over tomorrow anyway. You might see me though... who knows?
 
Anyone going tonight? I was there yesterday trying to teach the nieces how to pizza so was on the magic carpet the entire time. Looking forward to do some actual skiing today.
 
Went yesterday, snowed all day, wasn't all that cold compared to anyone who's skied Quebec resorts to any extent. The trees under due north were pretty fun yesterday. Duck the ropes and enter the trees beside the old 'yahoo terrain park' and there was lots of untouched trees with a nice kicker on the left side route. Perfect day to test out my new full tilts ;)

Going again tonight... doubt it will be as much fun though
