i got a blown edge the other day, ive skied on them twice since them and there dosnt seem to b much of a problem, so would u say bring them into the shop as soon as possible, or whenever is convienient?

haha, shit. if you want to talk about blown edges, talk to lpskibum. part of the edge on his cow print concepts was hanging off, so he just ripped it off of his ski.

Don't count on getting them replaced. I tossed an edge on my volkls after using them maybe 8 times and they are not doing shit for me.

 
i have no edges left on my 178 concepts, the edge broke on each ski then it went downhill from there, the snow started to tear the edges off and now im left with 2 of my original 4 edges.

-jon, skiing the ice so the other half of the country doesnt have to.

yah i kept ridin the volkls like a jackass and lost about a foot of edge in like 4 days out.

ya i dont have an edge for like 4 inches on my concepts.

Whats the best ski for rails? Anyone know? Or at least one that will hold up for a while until i destroy them.

for sliding rails, get some old skis with grind plates, like rossignol used to make.

 
Ski them to death then buy new ones and then keep the old ones for urban. I f you fix them they will break again right away.

i have a cracked edge on my blue 1260s, what happens if the edge falls out? So far the white stuff in the base is cracking where the edge is cracked and i dont want the base coloring stuff to get completely fucked

the edge will come out sooner or later depending on how hard and much you ride it. after that its downhill. goodluck.

 
At least its not Salomon, they have the worst possible waranty. Im not sure how bad volkl's is, but i can imagine. Salomon won't even talk to you about ski damage

yeah man, volkl is horrible. if you go to my videos and watch 'fakie on rainbow' really slow, u can see my skis flop around as i get on the rail. u can hear that my edge is gone too. im goin to get the skis back for rails and whatnot.

 
yeah both my edges are cracked in like 5 places in my 720s

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?
 
If the edges come off underfoot, can i file down the sharp part of the edge where the section came off so they won't tear off in snow, or wont that work?
