"You know that wives' tale about oral sex causing cancer? Turns out it's true, if the genitals in your throat have HPV, the vaccine-preventable virus that also causes cervical cancer.

American researchers say throat cancer caused by HPV (generally transmitted to throats during oral sex) has "increased significantly" over the last 20 years.

Researchers tested tumor samples from 271 patients with certain types of throat cancer diagnosed from 1984 to 2004. The virus was found in only 16 percent of the samples from the 1980s—but in 72 percent of those collected after 2000.

The researchers estimated that over all, throat cancers caused by the virus have increased to 2.6 per 100,000 people in 2004 from 0.8 cases per 100,000 people in 1988. If the trend continues, by 2020 the virus will be causing more throat cancer than cervical cancer, the study concluded.

Unlike cervical cancer, "oropharyngeal cancers" have no screening equivalent to the pap smear. So if you suck a lot of dick or twat, either get vaccinated or spend the rest of your life worrying that every "lumpy, swollen lymph node" and "lingering sore throat or earache" might be blowjob cancer.

for the sake of all men, I would like to point out thats not a very reliable source and that it says 'american researchers' not who, or where. So, I refused to accept it.
 
that is true. i feel like every week some news article comes up with some new shit that causes cancer.

out of the last few years, on top of my head:

burned bread

burned meat

cheap chinese toys

stress

other cheap products, including clothes, shoes and gloves

 
genital warts are a form of HPV, its also rising alot. Men do not get symptons and it can go unnoticed, last time I got my std check, lady said the HPV test is only 50% accurate for men. So unless you got those warts most men have no idea they have it.
 
i dont care in the least. everything gives you cancer. if you dont get hit by a car or shot by a stray bullet, cancer is going to kill you. and some doctor will blame the cancer on blowjobs or microwaves or the paint on the walls, but really its all just bullshit. unless you find me a person who died from a cancer which was undeniably caused by exclusively giving blowjobs, then im going to say that this is a poorly done study lacking in real evidence and it has no reason to be published yet.
 
Sometimes HPV isn't that noticeable. But, if you read the whole thing, I read, "the cancer seems to form in the back of the throat, tonsils and the beginning of you're tongue (So the back of your throat)." That's where I got that from.

i thought there was an article recently that said it reduced cancer or something similar. This one makes sense, if you have some nasty balls in your mouth then it will obviously transmit to you. But if you stick to clean stuff then its good? IDK
 
is it also true that if u dont use it, u lose it? i think i speak for more than just myself when i ask this question...
