Found a second hand one on bst fit $25 and was wondering how appropriate it'd be for where I ski. I ski BC interior so not much rain. I can layer and I'm pretty sure it's more waterproof than my old jacket I grew out of. Any thoughts?

Hey man,

The Finn Jacket features a quilted, insulated liner, and a DWR coating to repel water. Its a pretty versatile jacket - great for wearing around town or on the hill. It definitely wasn't built for waist deep pow days considering it has very few technical features. But if you throw on a hoodie and a proper base layer it can hold its own in the cold. Our intention in designing it was to create a piece perfect for the milder conditions of spring & summer. I've gotten away with wearing mine mid winter and do so often, but I wouldn't recommended using this jacket for a powder day unless its your midlayer.

Hope that helps

I think I'll pick it up and see! For $25 it's worth the risk. Should be skiing waist deep pow anyways. Cheers Bloom!
