Hey NS,

Just wanted to check in. We are in the process of designing next year's outerwear line and wanted to hear what you had to say about our company and our products

1. What do you like about Bloom?

2. What would you like to see changed?

3. What colors/features would you like to see in our next line?

4. Do you like the fit of our current and past products?

Feel free to share any of your thoughts whether they are good or bad - we appreciate any feedback!

Thanks guys

These are just some personal preference things but i definetely like the pocket placement on the 12/13 jackets more then the ones this year. I also liked the colour options on the 12 13 more then the ones used this year.

My Jacket has been great so far (2012/2013 eclipse). The only comment I would make is that it's slightly too slim around the waist. Just thinking in terms of future years, since I'm aware it's still a growing company, different styles of jacket would be cool. Such as softshell, 3l, ect.

1. What do you like about Bloom? The owner Jim is a pretty cool dude :D

Seriously though, the customer service is the bomb diggity and the hand written notes make me feel all fuzzy inside.

2. What would you like to see changed?

Some sort of riding hoodie would be dope.

3. What colors/features would you like to see in our next line?

I know its being used a lot next year (and sort of cliche now) but some sort of camo. Also, some darker reds, and bring back the khaki!

4. Do you like the fit of our current and past products?

Only have the pants from this year and they are great. Only improvement I can think of would to have stretch waist band adjustments instead of the solid ones.

I dig the customer service, and the waterproofing, tall fit.

I definetly feel kinda restrained when I'm in the jacket. It goes just above mid thighs and when I skate I can't get that full kick off I guess, and on jumps I feel restrained. Make it more baggy?

Stay with earthy solid colors, don't go neon, maybe a camo hoodie but don't fall into that camo jacket fad. I like the fit, but more baggy in the bottom part of the jacket would be nice.

I love the color focus. dont do a shit ton of complicated patterns just keep the colorways simple and subtle. NO neon green bullshit. earthy colors and dulled down colors seem to be popular, but I have always liked that and khakis are where its at for pants. Also, please put some actual cuff reinforcements. That is a general criticism to all companies. Just put some thick canvas fabric or something so there is an actual change in durability in the inner cuff. It would definitely stand out to me and I would pick those pants up in a heartbeat.

1. The fact that your involved with your customers. 2. More variety.

3. More colors in general, get creative. Also bibs would be nice, along with a riding hoodie.

4. Pants fit me well, i liked them but i didnt wear them much over my patagucci.

I own a 11/12 upward highlight jacket. I loved the pocket placement on the coat. Also I really enjoyed the magnet on the back that keeps down the hood of the jacket. Next year I would like to see some softgoods like a variety of soft shells and hoodies. Some suspenders would be awesome as well.

If you added the elastic waist adjustments instead of the solid fixed one's the pants would be way more comfortable

1. What do you like about Bloom? -customer service

-simple designs

-fit

-waterproofing and breath-ability

-length

-locally run (I really don't care that much where it is made)

-color blocking (from all 3 seasons)

-magnets on front pockets are great for holding pass in lift line, I attach a lanyard to my belt loop and when I am in the lift line I can put the metal clip on the lanyard against the magnet and don't have to let my pass dangle.

2. What would you like to see changed?

-more colors

-wrist area is somewhat claustrophobic, even with my thin mid and base-layers

-palm gaiters get tangled up easily when putting on jacket

-durability-some minor stitching issues like fraying and some threads sticking out

-for the insides of the pockets to be stitched down so they cant be turned inside out when taking stuff out of the pockets

3. What colors/features would you like to see in our next line?

-attachable/modular/zip-off bibs and suspenders like FD has

-more color variety

-more vents on legs

-casual line with hats, hoodies, and (more) t shirts

4. Do you like the fit of our current and past products? -yes, they fit great especially for skinny or tall people

This. A pair of skinnies with bibs would be amazing and something that i can't find anywhere.

Also, like other people have said, a riding hoodie would be cool.

I haven't tried on any of your outerwear, but I would like to see a "ski" brand that makes outerwear with the fit of "snowboard" brands. Ride has the best fitting jackets I have ever put on. Perfect around the shoulders, nice tall length and a slim / more fitted cut throughout the body. The problem with most jackets is the width in the larger sizes.

Check the measurements on this jacket. Fits like a dream.

this is exactly what bloom already does, they have tall slim jackets, and if i'm not mistaken they redid the shoulders on the first year jacket and perfected them for the second year, but they got rid of the zip off sleeves which doesn't really matter

^Word, I need to try one on. I know a few dudes with Bloom so I'll have to check them out. According to the size charts, the chest is still 5 inches larger than what I'm looking for.

Raglan sleeves are a must, which it looks like you guys already do. I also like having the back of the jacket longer than the front (G-Suit esque).

I have the 12/13 pants and I personally love the fit. A couple ideas: maybe a couple different riding hoodies that come in different colorways? (I saw this posted above, but I feel if you only made one in one colorway you would see tons of people with the same hoodie). Definitely khaki or a light brown color would be sick. Possibly some tees/tall tees? I would for sure buy a tall tee/riding hoodie if the design was cool

If anyone on here could offer some info on the fit of the slims that would be great... Besides that you guys keep in touch with your customers which is awesome.

This is part of that keeping in touch thing I was talking about. You guys just gained another customer.

I have the mint XL from your first line, and last years 2black in XL. Being completely honest, the mint jacket feels like a higher quality jacket, the 2black velcro and stitching was crap. I didnt buy a jacket from this year so I cannot compare. I do love both jackets though.

Your customer service is top-notch, love you guys.

I would love to see some camo next year and some 3L products.

I found my 2black jacket to be extremely waterproof (havent used my mint in wet conditions yet) however the material seemed to absorb the water rather than bead off.

Forgot to add, I love the fit of my sage pants, and both of my jackets. I always recommend bloom to my friends!

I bought an XL jacket this year and I love it, but there are a couple of things that aren't so great.

The spandex hobo-hands (whatever the fuck they're called) ripped on both sleeves after the first week and the elastic cord around the hood broke the first time I adjusted it. Neither of these are a super big deal but it's never happened to any of my jackets before.

As for design, I really liked the pocket placement of the 12/13 jackets. Also I noticed the fit on the xl wasn't very tall and more boxy than I hoped, but I'm a tall motherfucker and probably should have gone with the xxl.

Really though, I love Bloom. You guy have the best customer service and your jacket has kept me warm. I love the colorways, I'd rather a company put more into quality than into color.

Headed into finalizing next year's product, its looking really good :) and your feedback was definitely accounted for when in the design process.

Any last minute suggestions before we finalize our forthcoming winter line?

Stick with dark colors, don't get into the neon thing. And make jackets more roomy throughout and less boxy. And don't loose that sick customer service!

Bloom is all about those sleek subtle colors. We don't like colors that scream for attention.

And that customer service will never fade. That's our favorite part of business!

Are you making 2 different jacket fits? I feel like there has been split suggestions about the jackets. It would be dope if you had a long slim jacket and a less slim roomier jacket.
