My parents want me to take a blood test today to see if my blood will match up with this guy my parents want me to gove my liver to. With all donation aside, will THC come up on the blood test. If it does my parents will have me for dinner and I am sketched the fuck out.

but yea depends on how long. i heard it takes about a month for your body to completely break down THC

I probably will not match up with the recipient, so I'm not too worried about the liver part yet, I just don't want to get caught. Even though the test is not for drugs will it still show up?
 
Yeah if they are not screening for it, it won't show up. However if they run a test for any drugs it will show up (unless you haven't smoked for 24 hours or so).
 
dont let your parents push you around like that. its your body and you do what you want with it.

unless they test for thc then i dont think it will show up. im pretty sure that you have to sign a bunch of papers and shit before they can test for that type of stuff
 
are you sure you dont want to give a kidney?? Live is something you depend on so without your screwed. Also thats what filters booze from your body so if you out of a liver(which you only have one of) then you will never drink. I am pretty sure you are looking at kidneys.

There is thousands of people that need some sort of vital body parts everyday. Put the money where your mouth is and contact your local hospital and save some lives.

"If you give away your liver you'll die" I hope you were all joking...You liver is huge, and they can cut off a very small piece of it and donate it to someone who needs one. This very small piece will then grow inside the other persons body into a fully functioning liver. Its not like giving a kidney or something, the liver can regrow.

Yeah, I think its like against practice to test for something that is not needed, or illegal or something, unless your parents ask them to do it, which I can't imagine they would if they dont know you smoke. I've gotten my blood taken a few times to test for other things, Drug tests are another test that is unnecessary, but I think if you are donating an organ, you may want to stop smoking for a bit beforehand, just to be safe.
 
that would be funny if you like donate blood high and then the new patient gets a blood transfusion and they wake up with thc already in their blood stream and theyre like wtf why am i baked?
 
Yeah it is my liver for sure. You can function without a whole liver. The guy that can use it is someone I have never seen before. Chances are though that I will not be compatible with him but still.
 
if you're parents care so much about this random person why don't they cut themselves open for a piece of their own livers. I know I would never donate any organ ever unless it was a close family member.

Why does this random person need a new liver in the first place? liver disease? if thats the case its usually the person's fault for drinking too much. it would be like donating one of your lungs to a pack-a-day smoker when they contract lung cancer.
 
without a whole liver you're much more likely to get liver disease when you try to get drunk. the smaller liver can't handle the same amount of alcohol and eventually fails.

dude you don't need to worry about thc showing up in your blood so just get blitzed out of your skull 1 hour before surgery.

No you wouldn't...your liver can regrow, they just take a small portion of it and give it to the new person and they both grow into fully functioning livers.
 
No they will not test for THC in a blood test like that. They're just screening your blood for possible diseases and to make sure your cell counts match up for the transfer (if you choose to go through with it).

It's against the law to drug test you with out just cause, and donating your organs isn't just cause for a drug test.
 
unless they're saying you'll be donating a part of your liver, because they want you to get a blood test.. meh iunno man...
 
but theoretically that is a just reason: do determine whether your on drugs or not. any smart person can do drugs and keep it away from their family its really not that fuckin hard. just dont be a fucking idiot and brag and show off
 
i hope this is a joke, cause i mean like fukc where do your parents get off thinking that they own you and your organs, tell your parents that if this guy is so important to them, then pair the fukc up and give up a little bit of theirs

 
they will test you blood for any diseases and such but you dont have to worry about the drug test. say you had some sort of infection in you blood stream and it enters the sick person they have a very very good chance of dying, so that what they are checking for.
 
If it does happen, only a little of my liver will be taken, but I dont want any more holes in my body.
 
Idk the whole thing sounds kinda sketch. Just tell them you want all of your liver and you arent even going to test to see if it matches.
 
if more people were organ donors we wouldn't have this problem. Seriously, anyone who's over 18, become an organ donor. It's ridiculous not too, what the fuck are you gonna do with your organs once you're dead?
 
im pretty sure you can donate your liver. not all of it but part of it. they cut out a chunk and give that to the person, the piece of the liver that gets cut out grows back in a about 6 weeks and the recipient of the liver once his body accepts the piece of the liver will have his or her body regenerate liver tissue until the piece of the liver is a whole liver.

I heard a couple years ago that if you die and your an organ donor your liver can be given to 25 different patients and assuming all goes well for those 25 patients you could save 25 lives.
 
okay you only live once.people dont think about that enough you especially would you give a part of your only life to help someone out .i sure as fuck wouldent go through life without drinking and wasting my only life.you should experience everything in your life that includes all drugs .and alcohol .THINK HARD ABOUT THE FACT THAT YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE .
