Blood/Plasma Donations

I donated in high school and didn't get any compensation for it. In fact, I didn't know you could get payed for your blood. If I knew that, I would have donated all the viles they took out of me while pregnant. Fuck, I'd be rich.
 
they usually only pay for blood if you have a rare type, BUT there seem to be many places that pay for plasma. also people pay for semen, but im not quite ready for there to be little ryan's running around.
 
Well, technically you would never know, right? If you just donated, collected your money, and left? Though I guess I feel ya. I could easily get $8,000 for eggs, but I don't know if I wanna do that. While the money would be great......
 
no, there'd be those kids that find out and then try to find their real father. then ud have to play ball with like 50 kids to make up for lost time, then buy them things then u ed up with more money being taken that u made 20 years ago
 
Pretty sure you can sign a paper that says not to give out any of your information. Cause then what guy would donate when there's the chance of him having to BE the father, than just the supplier, when he originally never wanted father hood, just the easy thousand bucks he makes?
 
o didint know that. but i'm sure some ppl will go pretty far to find their real father if they want to enough. u know, like private detectives and all that good stuff.

not saying that i wouldn't crank for bank.
 
I donate to the Miller Blood Center every eight weeks...and its donating so you don't get money for it. If you're getting paid, they use that for testing and not for actual transfusions. In Allentown you get 35 every time for donating plasma

fuck. if there was one near me, and i got 50-150 for it i would totally do it. i mean shit i already beat it all the time, why not do it and get paid?!
 
Yeah, it's pretty strict. I've heard that since potential mother's obviously want the best possible genes for their child you have to be pretty genetically blessed to get mad bank for your little spermies. i.e. tall, athletic, smart and handsome or you're fucked.
 
I was actually looking to do this a couple months ago. It's quite a process though, and it takes a long time.

The plasma idea sounds really good though yet painful, but I would go through that kind of pain for money - and of course the chance to help people.
 
What do you have to do to donate eggs? I know if your a surrogate mother you get mad bills. But then you have to carry a baby for 9 months and then just hand it over to the genetic parents...
 
I'll admit, I've filled out an application before. It's definitely an extensive process. They have to know anything and everything about your history. After all, like sperm donors, women who can't produce their own eggs and are paying money for someone elses, and will want someone who is top of the line and most like them.

But, my general assumption is if you have never been a smoker, don't drink alcohol, and exercise normally, you're a good candidate.
 
i actually looked into this awhile ago because someone told me you can make bank by donating plasma but its like 2 hour long process and you only get paid like 20 or 30 bucks each visit also its moderately painful so instead just get a job
 
i gave bolld for the first time last week in school it was alot of fun at the ned when i got to hold my sack of blood. but i can't wait to donate again it is nice to know that your saving a life. a kid in my class his sister donated and she got a letter 5 months later from someone that got her blood and she saved her life. so that is what inspired me to do it....and the free cookies at the end are not bad also.
 
I wouldn't donate plasma. You get some money sure, but its a long process.

They take your blood, spin it out so it seperates from the plasma and then reinject it into you. Your plasma really keeps you healthy, and without it you will feel like shit almost all the time. Not worth the money IMO.

As for sperm, its really hard. You have to pass all these drug tests, and background checks and you make more depending on how smart you are and how physically fit and stuff. Not anyone can go in and get mad bank. Most people who donate sperm it is just for research purposes anyways.
