im doing a project on blood diamonds.

its a 2 page paper that has to include to following

Denife blood diamond

explain the basic problem of blood diamonds (human cost)

Countries that produce blood diamonds

where the profits go

control of blood diamonds by the UN U.S congress (Tony Hall) De Beers company, Amnesty international

what people can do to help

thats actually not what blood diamonds are, those are considered legit.

BDs are stones stolen or extorted from local miners by militia using violence to enforce territory.

i had to design a tee for this huge prject i had to do.

to raise awarness.. bla bla bla..

we were presenting this project downtown, in one of the parliamentary buildns, etc etc etc..

theres a hefty background to what we were doing.

i'll take a look if i still have any of it on my comppppteer.

i have the tee design most probably though.

wikipedia isn't a reliable source.

you can change almost any information you don't think is correct.

you can also add in information i belive.

ex: current queen of england

i changed it to my name a while ago.. tehehe soo sneaky.

but it was back to elizabeth within hours.

its soooooo good and it tells you a lot about how they are mined and why they cause so much conflicts
 
ummmm ya i know, thanks tho. It was called a joke, it was a slightly humerous picture. I know exactly what blood diamonds are.
 
I saw this show where a few rappers went to the diamond mines, while wearing all their diamond bling, and were trying to explain to the workers how they love the diamonds that the workers slaved for.

It was like they didn't give a fuck about the horrible conditions and labor used to get the diamonds, and they were basically just showing off how rich they were to the super-poor miners who work countless hours to find one tiny diamond, and get about 15 cents for it from the mine-boss.

I bet the rappers didn't even donate any of their millions of dollars to the poor town where the diamond miners were working.

Then I'm sure they went back home on their private Lear Jet and drove home to their Hollywood mansion in their Bentlys, Rolls Royce Phantoms, and Lamborghini Murcielagos where they probably got wasted on Cristal and malt liquor and forgot all about the slaves at the blood diamond mines.

It's not like I don't like their music, but that show was bullshit.

 
blood diamonds are one of the most common currency used by the malitias and word lods of africa. Their proper name is african conflict diamonds and thier name pretty much sums them up. They are sold to gain funds to continue conflict and more blood shead, hence the name "blood diamond". The money raised from their sales will be used to purchace additional weaopns, ammo exc that are nessary to fight a war.
