Blood blister...to pop or not to pop?

So I've had this blood blister on my foot for about a week now since. Got it playing volleyball last week. It hurt for like 2 days and then just stopped hurting. The thing is, it's slowly getting bigger. It's on my foot, like the side of the pad by my big toe i guess is the best I can describe it. It's like the size of a dime right now, but its pretty thick and under thick skin. Like I said it doesn't hurt so I'll probably end up leaving it there and seeing what happens, but I want to know if anyone has any suggestions for it.
 
dont pop!!!i had one of these on my thumb like a week ago and after a while what happened was it just started waning in colour, then it tore, then it never grew back.
It will break itself when its ready.
 
poke it with a needle, then drain it, but dont pick away at the skin around it, then it would just be raw and painful
 
by neosporin do you mean polysporin? neo citron?

dude, pop it, it will hurt like a bitch but bleed out and heal fine.
 
haha yeah its all the same shit... just put some sort of antibiotic on it, a over the counter triple antibiotic will do it best man. i worked at a drugstore for 4 years now
 
youve never heard of neosporin? i guess i just assumed it was like that everywhere, like calling all tissues "kleenex's"

my dad is a doctor. Don't pop it! i have had them. the blood dries inside and then it naturally goes away. Just don't. it can get infected.
 
i had 1 of those, lol now i think about it, i went to the nurse and she sent me home from school because of it, annnnnyway, yeah mum put a hole in it with a needle, and let it drain, then just put some antiseptic on it and it was sweet. but it depends, if you are able to let it heal itself, then maybe good, but if you need it goneske then drain it, but dont like pop it like a pimple, just a lil whole and let it drain
