Blizzard Skiis

Well, My mum just bought me these Blizzard twintips off the internet.

They're the Blizzard Poacher Alpine Ski

Has anyone heard of them? Are they any good? Is Blizzard and okay brand I haven't heard of them before?

Blizzard just got into making twintips a few years ago, they have a pretty good reputation in the recreational skiing world. They had a pretty good big mountain series called the Titan series, I don't know if they still make those. I haven't heard much about their park skis, but I think this year they come with bindings pre mounted maybe, which is generally bad, but they aren't called the poachers this year, so I guess you don't have to worry about that. Their park ski, the 'reason IQ' this year scored a 5 out of 10 in the freeskier magazine buyers' guide, but that isn't something to set much store by, imo cause freeskier seems to be inconsistent in some of their info. WEll hopefully you enjoy your new skis, and as posted before, tell us how they are.

I have some experience skiing on blizzard recreational skis and it was a good experience, I enjoyed riding them. They also make some race skis that, whilst not being as widely distributed as more mainstream brands also have a pretty solid reputation.

I hope you like them!

the blizzard poacher is my current ski. i have to say that at first I was a little skeptical as to whether they would turn out to be a good ski or not when i first got on them, but after i got a chance to break them in, i kinda like em. in my opinion, they feel really solid when riding jumps. at first i really didn't like them on rails, but you just gotta keep breakin em in and they feel a lot more comfortable. in the end, i am happy that i went with blizzard and i hope you will be too

Thanks for all the information and reviews they were really helpful. They should arrive in the next two days so I'll tell you how they go. So pumped now.

Last year i skied the titan cronus, and i loved it, great BC ski, really sweet, and it looked very durable !

Imho blizzard makes good skis....

I skiied on them today and they are the best skiis i've ever skiied on.

Went out on them today they were steady for jumping. They made a great platform for spins, the under foot was stiff for rails but the tip and tail were soft for a nice easy carve.

The skiis were great I was skeptical at first but they tunred out great. Even the graphics are awesome :)

actually, blizzard has had a twin tip in their line for a while, i wouldn't call it new at all, considering i remember seeing some back when 1260s only came in 164.
