Blink-182 To release new single, "Up All Night" this friday at 7:30 am!

Cool, trying to fins the song but I've got to go now so I'll find it later... I need to see one of their shows before they're old.

Honestly, Blink 1-82 is cool and all but im soo tired of never knowing if they're together or not, or where the singer/drummer have left to go with another band.

from what im understanding, they are going to release another single after this one and a whole new album at the end of the month. pretty stoked

fuckin right I cant wait to hear it, I hope its more like the older albums like take off your pants and jacket or enema. I wouldnt mind if it was like the last album but one can always hope!

You are correct, according to some people Mark talked to on google+, they're releasing another song called Ghosts on the Dancefloor next weekish, and the record is supposed to be out in september.

FUCK YES. i hope they haven't changed a lot though. I mean tom went to ava and travis has been making songs with rappers and metal bands. But overall Im stoked.

as far as i understand, it's on the radio and it's in cali and at 7:30 in the morning. here's a quote from their facebook.

blink-182's new single "Up All Night" will world premier this Friday, July 15th at 7:30 a.m. PST/10:30 a.m. EST on KROQ in LA (106.7FM

ATTENTION!!! Up All Night premiere is being moved up to today in the next few hours!!! Stay tuned!!!

I'm on the fence, I love the chorus harmonies/guitar riff. But that pre-chorus is kind of a boner killer. Verses are pretty cool too.

I guess Tom wrote the bulk of this song, so the Mark songs should be a bit more classic blink.

Overall I'll give it a 7.5/10

word, i'm on listen 17(counting the two on kroq). it's definitely grown on me. Just not quite up to par with their past singles.

whole shit that was awful. the last time i heard blink that shitty was on chesire cat (besides M+MS thats the best blink song ever)

I retract this statement. after 35ish listens this is what I wrote on a blink forum last night.

I can't help but be let down, no matter how much I want to love this.. It's not because of the synths or AVA influence, nor Tom's voice. I just feel like the passion and emotion from previous releases(namely untitled) isn't there. On the entire UT record Tom(and Mark) go so hard with so much feeling and I'm just not hearing it here.

There's also just a fundamental difference in the lyrics and themes from what I can tell from just one song. It may not be a bad thing per-say, but to me it's just not the same as on the records I fell in love with. Lyrics like, "like violence you have me forever and after," "don't waste your time on me you're already the voice inside my head," and "Why is this hard, you recognize me, i know i'm wrong, but i can't help believing." will always mean more to me than lyrics that, in my opinion, try to be more than what they're worth(if that makes any sense). The whole, "everyone... everyone.. everyone" verse in UAN just seems like Tom(or mark, whoever wrote it) trying too hard to make some big over arching statement about society or what have you.

I don't know if any of that will make sense to anyone but myself, and maybe it's just the teenage angst(or nostalgia) in me talking. But this just doesn't make me feel the way the old stuff did...

Anyway my two cents on the new jam.. hoping for more from the record

I actually love this track because i loved +44 and Box Car Racer and I saw a lot of those characteristics in this song that is why I wasn't disappointed. I mean yah I am a die hard blink fan and noticed there wasn't as much emotion in that song as their should be but I can't make final judgement until I hear the rest of the album and I did want to hear some influence from the earlier blink but I am still happy with the way the single sounds and the direction they are going in!
